Would have been nice to get a team other then gc from our bottom 6 draw but hey we did pretty well.
Can definitely see all teams we vs twice improving so there is a chance it may not be as easy as it looks. Prefer this to my prediction though!

Spare me will you.

$37.50 a game at two of the best stadiums you'll see.

My membership costs close to 60 bucks a game

$75 a game when you include my wifes membership.

I can get my ticket at the gate and sit in the exact same spot for $80 for those 4 games.

Id prefer to use the savings and do an away trip to Adelaide.

(Dunno what the deal with your attitude is)

Meh. Overall I'll take it. We've been screwed over much more in the past.

Good:
  • No double ups against Hawthorn, Sydney, Geelong, Port Adelaide, Richmond, Collingwood, North Melbourne.
  • Double ups against WCE, GWS, GCS, Bulldogs and Adelaide.
  • Extremely good run home logistically: only 2 away games in our last 7, including an unheard of 3 home games in a row.
  • A couple of Friday night games.
  • No horrible Thursday night game.
  • Only 6 Sunday games.
  • 12 evening or night games.
  • No Sunday game on the penultimate game.
  • Away games on either side of the bye.
Bad:
  • Only one game at the MCG.
  • Only four games in Melbourne (partially explained by us only doubling up against one Victorian side).
  • Travel to Darwin and Tasmania.

1 [A] Bulldogs ES Sunday
2 [H] Gold Coast DS Saturday (N)
3 [A] West Coast DS Saturday (N)
4 [A] North Melbourne ES Sunday (A)
5 [H] Carlton DS Sunday
6 [A] Adelaide AO Saturday
7 [H] Great. West Syd. DS Saturday (N)
8 [A] Hawthorn AU Saturday
9 [H] Richmond DS Saturday (N)
10 [A] St Kilda ES Saturday (A)
11 [H] Essendon DS Saturday (N)
12 [A] Brisbane G Saturday (A)
13 [H] Port Adelaide DS Saturday
14 [A] Collingwood MCG Friday (N)
15 BYE
16 [A] Melbourne TIO Saturday (N)
17 [H] Geelong DS Friday (N)
18 [A] Gold Coast MS Saturday
19 [H] Sydney DS Sunday
20 [H] West Coast DS Sunday
21 [H] Adelaide DS Sunday
22 [A] Great. West Syd. SPO Saturday (A)
23 [H] Bulldogs DS TBD

If you ignore the lack of the MCG and the stupid Tasmania game, it's actually a very good and soft draw. The majority of our away games are against the easier sides.

Nice...four home games out of the last 5

That finish to the season might have more value if there wasn't a weeks break before the finals. As it stands, having home games to finish the season doesn't mean much at all. It was a much bigger advantage for the egirls last year

Tough(ish) start, but tapers off after Hawks game.
I've locked in 15 wins (conservatively) with the potential for 18! I'm thinking we should be in the 16-17 wins category again.
Happy days!

Thinking about it we pretty much have the eagles draw from this year, lots if home games and easy teams but having to go to Darwin and tassy. We should do well next year
This year the Eagles copped the Thursday night game, but no Tasmanian or NT game for them. 3 MCG games, and double-ups against Freo, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hawthorn and Collingwood. Probably the harder draw, but much softer logistically.

lol.
Whiny bastards

Soft?

I can't see the Giants and Suns being push overs, especially at their homes. All sides we play twice are genuine finals contenders. The basket cases you want twice are Essendon, Carlton and Melbourne.

True. But the only top four contender side we play twice is the Eagles (and maybe the Dogs at a stretch). GCS and GWS at Subi are walkover wins.

The first game against the Bullies will be a cracker.

Stringer, Libba, Bontempelli etc V Fyfe, Hill, Neale, Bennell

And I'd love for a couple Langdon, Weller, Blakely to be in there instead of Suban, DeBoer, Mzungu.

trust that the rest can bring them with them

The club has already come out and said they reducing the price to $120 and will be giving refunds to Vic members who already signed up.
This is the best news I've heard all day! While the AFL has given us the two finger salute, this gesture from the club shows that they actually care about their members & supporters. It'd be really easy for them to go "yeah it's unfortunate that you don't get as much for your membership but that was outside our control so the price remains", but no they were quick & proactive in saying "We also recognise that having only four games in Melbourne is unusual and, as such, the club has reduced the price of Melbourne membership packages accordingly" (source: http://www.fremantlefc.com.au/news/2015-10-29/fremantles-2016-home-and-away-fixture). Hearty kudos and huzzahs.

If we have to go to that shit hole Launceston again then the Hawks should have to travel to WA. It's ****ed.

It's annoying Freo' have to be one of the clubs that meet Hawks sponsorship requirements to play in Tassie when we should be playing at the MCG.

Doesn't make sense when there are 8 interstate teams now plus a number of small Vic clubs. Season after season after season.
