What with all the bullshit Sunday games? If I was still in WA, I'd be .

I quite like the Sunday arvo games. Often nice sunny weather (though we didn't have quite as good a run this year) and less chance of it clashing with other obligations than Saturday games. Less stressful start time than trying to get to those early Friday night games too.

How much impact did Bennell have? - Lots. He put in good performances even through the rubbish.
How much impact did Dixon have? - Lots. Was one of their main talls.
How much impact can GAJ have anymore? - Lots. Even with 1 arm the guy is an absolute gun.

Hope this clears thing up.

Dixon is at best a flat track bully. His record against half decent sides makes Kennedy look like a big game performer.

Yeah, well you probably live closer. Getting home in the early morning on the first day of a working week wasn't that much fun.

11 minutes to the stadium now. :thumbsu:

I can actually fly to Melbourne for a game in less time than it took to get to home games back in WA

When they come to Tassie this year I hope they do something for the supporters, i.e. me.

They will send the B team wearing this:

And Scott Thornton will come out of retirement for that game and hand you his match-worn, signed jumper.

The week off before the finals is an unusual decison. That's going to be a really strange weekend where the home and away season is finished and supporters are all amped up for the finals.....then we have to wait a fortnight for the ball to be bounced.
Why not have a split round in round 21 or 22 instead? It's a huge free kick for the other codes, the Socceroos/Wallabies/NRL will look to take advantage of that opening.

I was really only thinking of something like a BBQ, but I'll take it.

A split round wouldn't be as fair. At least all finalists will go in on an even footing this way.

I think it's a good common sense decision for a change. Now we won't have to put up with all that ridiculous drama about whether it's unethical to rest players or not in the final round.

Top 2 would be massive next year. With that draw and the bye in round 15 we could potentially go into the Grand Final in October having only travelled 3 times in total through July, August and September.

It's good to see they didn't schedule all the non-Victorian contenders on Sunday in R22 like they did this year, although that's really a non-issue anyway given the bye week prior to the finals starting.

I've got a 3hr plus drive home so Sunday games ain't great that's a fact.At least they're do-able unlike the early Friday nighters which were impossible if working.
We do seem to get more roundabouts than swings.:confused:o_O

It says they travel to Canberra for a game, but I don't see where they do.

Yet another year without Freo coming to Canberra. :(

Take the good with the bad I guess. Lots of long distance flights to all parts of the country, but happy with the double-ups not involving other the other top 4 clubs from this season (apart from West Coast).

How did we score those double up? Did the controversy during trade week mean we got a GWS double up? hahah. Maybe Bond is a genius after all.

No idea exactly, but when you give drunk and blindfolded monkey a handful of darts I guess these things happen.

Where did you see that? All I can find on TV schedules is the first 10 rounds, which has us having one (1) game where Channel 7 is the host network - at home to Richmond in round 9.

How do the other sides fare in the first 10 rounds I hear you ask?

Collingwood 8
Richmond 8
West Bullies 8
Hawthorn 7
Essendon 6
Geelong 6
Carlton 5
St Kilda 5
Adelaide 4
Melbourne 4
Norf 4
Port Ad 4
Sydney 4
Gold Coast 2
WCE 2
Brisbane 1
Fremantle 1
GWS 1

Thanks goodness we're playing Richmond, otherwise there'd be none!

Where did you find the TV schedule for the first 10 rounds?

Just for curiousity sake:

- Adelaide 4/6 in Adelaide (5/8 in Adelaide after 2016)
- Brisbane 5/6 in Perth (5/7 in Perth after 2016)
- Carlton 5/6 in Perth (6/7 after 2016)

- Collingwood 4/6 times in Perth (4/7 after 2016)
- Essendon 5/6 times in Perth (6/7 after 2016)
- Geelong 3/6 - even split - (4/7 in Perth after 2016)
- Gold Coast 3/5 in GC (4/7 in GC after 2016)
- GWS 4/4 in Perth (5/6 in Perth after 2016)
- Hawthorn 4/6 away (5/7 away - Melb+Tas - after 2016)
- Melbourne 3/6 even split - (4/7 away - Melb+Dar - after 2016)
- North 3/6 even split - (4/7 at Etihad after 2016)
- Port 3/6 even split - (4/7 in Perth after 2016)
- Richmond 3/6 even split - (4/7 in Perth after 2016)
- St Kilda 5/6 times at Etihad (6/7 at Etihad after 2016)
- Sydney 4/6 times in Sydney (4/7 in Sydney after 2016)
- Western Bulldogs 4/6 times at Etihad (5/8 at Etihad after 2016)

Surely the AFL could have mixed the bolded inequities up a bit
