Montagna, Dalhause, Bennell, Bird, Ben Kennedy, Curnow, Kerridge and Petracca at this stage. This will change most likely.
Montagna, Dal, Harvey, Merret, Kerridge, Petrecca would be my starting FWD's at this stage.

Merrett does interest me, its probably him or Bird, I don't think I could have both. If Lachie Hunter/Aaron Hall/Sam Gray are forwards that will likewise change that set up again.

I'm into Brayshaw as a fwd.

Brayshaw? Gotta wonder how they catergorise some players. I might be wrong, but he strikes me as a MID only type. M/D at a stretch.

Boomer Harvey will be my POD. Was sub a few times last year.
Was sub once.

But also had a few weeks out of the backline last year that dragged him down. Should at least be not overpriced at sub-$500K. I'll be gambling on others at that price range.

Any love for Rioli.
Old buggers Lewis and Hodgey still absolute stars but would need a bit of resting up fwd or on bench through games with less interchanges.
Would Rioli be the one to benefit from this and inject himself into the midfield for longer stints or would clarko and the gang take it easy on his hammies and manage him through games more so than lewy and hodgey.
Thoughts..Cheers

He was sub twice. The last game vs Richmond and that one vs Geelong (I think).

He played 20 games last year at a 90 avg, so he'd have to be considered. Couldn't see him playing more in the midfield than he already does though, but that's just my opinion. We'd have to ask some Hawk fans for more accurate predictions.

I won't have him, because if I do, it will no doubt trigger a ping or two. :(

Might end up being a solid POD, so good luck to all who select him!

I expect he will still be a low possession player who does amazing things with the amount of ball he gets which makes his SC scores decent. He won't radically change, maybe the odd run in midfield as was the case at times last year - put him down for an average between 90 and 100. I'd be surprised if he plays every game, he will be injured or rested at some stage.

So that's a no.

TWANG

Was hoping because D. Menzel only played the 2 games last year his price would remain at $123K (lock) but it's up to $260K, such an awkward range.

If he remains fit he is an absolute lock considering how talented he is & how much the Cats rate him.

If he keeps this injury-free pre-season up then I'll probably get him, but any interruptions & staying away.

I rolled the dice on him as a POD last year and he never left my side for the year. He was surprisingly consistent for a small forward. He played 24 games including finals. He scored 100+ in three of the four finals. He scored 80 - 100+ 16 times during the home and away season. I keep playing him hoping for that 'breakout' season where he dominates every single game. I do not think that will happen partly due to the type of player Cyril is and the fact that Hawthorn play by role, which can see players take a backseat for the team on occasion.

I think he will be playing the same role as last year which will see him spend the majority of his time in the forward 50 with the occasional midfield run. I have Buddy in atm with a 30k cheaper price tag.

I've had Cyril in my team for the last 3 years which has ended in heartbreak (or hammybreak) every time

2015 was the first year I finally swore off him and he barely misses a game and pulls out his best year of football

The reason why I picked him for so long was that he only needs 14/15 touches to tonne up, his tackle count is good and he is more consistent than people give him credit for. I am considering him this year.

I promised myself this year that I won't pick Buddy in 2016 - just watch him come out and play 20 games and average 110

So is Dusty going to miss early games for the chopstick thing? If it's only Rds1-2 would it be worth starting with him and saving a trade?

Aaron Hall seems good value as a M/F priced at 79ppg, so long as he gets midfield time. Averaged 114 from the last 7 games after he was moved to the midfield. With no subs and limited rotations, he should still get time in the middle as most of the 1st choice mids will be resting forward at some point. At this stage I would think that he would play midfield ahead of JOM who might start the season in the forward line since he's missed so much footy.

Did Sam Gray keep his M/F DP or is he mid only this year?
