Surprised at the lack of love for Buddy. Starting at his bottomed-out price surely. Can go big. Chance to finish top 6 forwards.

Has not had a 100+ season since leaving the Hawks. His biggest weapon was being able to use space. The 'G' was his friend. Went 107, 110 and 115 averages in his last 3 seasons at the Hawks. Has not cracked the ton in 3 years at Sydney.

Is in my side though.

To be fair he had a slow start in 2014 and was subbed off with injury one game. He then averaged about 115 for the rest of the season. My concern with Buddy is that he won't play every game.

I do not visit this board to always 'talk' people into picking players. This is a game we are playing. ;)

What's everyone's thoughts on the best F2? im sold with chopsticks as F1 and barlow as F3 but can't pick an F2 so far wingard is holding the spot.

I'm 100% starting with;
Dusty, Dahlhaus and Wingard

Barlow on my radar for a future upgrade

Some doubts along those same lines, but Dahlhaus is still in my team at this point.

One of our mids will end up playing more time as a forward this year, in the role that Crameri used to have. Who that is exactly, is yet to be determined.

It is because we need one more forward rather than one less compared to last year that I can't see our leading goal kicker from 2015 playing extended time in the middle during 2016.

Yeah you would assume with no Crameri that Stringer should play closer to goal unless Boyd improves quickly and nails down FF.

Will be interesting to see the forward line in the NAB

Redpath was the best forward in the intra-club on the weekend, but he failed to finish the game - possibly due to a corked thigh. He has his name all over a KPF role for R1 though.

Yeah i like Redpath.. big unit and has a bit of campaigner in him!..

Seems to run out of gas and is prone to spft tissue injuries purely because of how little regard he has for his body attacking the pill..

But played deep forward without drifting up the ground too much could be good for you boys this year. Not SC relevant but exciting none the less.

I don't mind Zorko. Finished the year strongly last year from memory. Only worry is that there are a lot of good supercoach scorers in that Lions lineup that can take points off him

His scores only really picked up though after Beams was playing with a bung shoulder and then not at all in the last few games. If all players stay fit Zorko's scoring will not match last season.

Tippett is currently my F4. Got me very interested when I saw him start in the ruck today. I'm a big fan for ruck cover as well. Are people still bullish on Kurt?

Showed alot when moved into that role last late last year..

Prone to the odd 40-50 but can go very large.
If he continues to play in the ruck in the NAB will be my F4 also..

I like both Tippo and Buddy, would having both be too much red and white in the forward line?
And I'm starting Lynch GC.

It'll be unique

Played around with my team a bit seeing what my team would look like with and without Mills in the midfield...

Had under 440K to spend on a forward. After having a look at Walters, Vickery, Stanley, Stringer, Hall, Elliot and Sinclair I was underwhelmed at the options. Until I had a look at Aaron Vandenberg and analysed his statistics from last season.

Read through some training reports on the Dees board (one of the most recent posts suggests he is 1.5 times the player he was last season) and was apparently in their top 3-4 players in their most recent intra club. In addition to this apparently he's been the big standout during stoppage drills at training on a consistent basis. Great job security and will play that rotating through HFF/midfield role that he played last year which can be SC gold especially for a guy of his size who can take a mark and win contested ball.

24 years old this season, and averaged 82.4 last season if you take out the sub affected games.

Call me crazy, but if I have to try and fit Mills into my side, Vandenberg will slot in as my F4 as POD, and i'll be hoping he can average 95+.

I will add - the only reason I'm even exploring him as an option is being locked into a situation where I have less than 440K to spend on a forward. In a perfect world, I wouldn't select anyone priced under Franklin at 470K, but if I'm forced to, I'm jumping on the Vandenberg wagon.
