I don't know about that. He was only a 4th year player this year. Coming into his prime over the next 3-4 years. Ended up with a 102 average, but averaged 112 over the 1st 11 games. (couple of 50's from his last 3 games, injury game included) If he gets a full pre-season under his belt & GWS have a good season I reckon Shiel can go 115-120+

I see where you're coming from I just think he's more of a burst player, just like Armitage and Steven, capable of those massive score but sustaining it all season is a stretch. Still a quality kid and a marvellous player don't get me wrong

After Rockliff, I think he is the best mid available in that sub 550k price range. A lot of people are going for Wines at 10k cheaper but I'm not sold on him, TBH I think Parker is more suited to SC.

I've changed my side about 4-5 times (not much by my standards

) so far and he has been my M5 every time. He will certainly improve on last years average.

I think having no Treloar there will be the making of him, he is deliciously priced and on my watchlist.

I'd much rather pay the extra 50k and get Selwood or Sloane than the people priced 500k-550k.

I know what you mean about changing your mind. I'm doing it way too much considering we're so far away from season.

Is Wingard having a full preseason or is he injured?

If he's doing full training I may take a look at him with Port going to improve in 2016.

I can't see him getting the cheap possies forward that he picked up at Geelong. He really seemed to hit the wall in 2015 and Id say if he averages the same this season as last he has done well.

I'd also be keen to see if he is getting midfield time, Ports forward structure will change a bit with Charlie Dixon there.

Even though he burned me in 2014 I'd still pick him again and he is on my watchlist.

My thinking exactly.

I'd gladly have Wingard as my F1 (still weighing up Dusty) if I knew he'd be playing more midfield but can still go forward & kick goals. Especially with Port on the improve in 2016!

Full training right now. His pre season was a bit funny at the start as he was stranded in Bali for week 1.
Expect a big year.
