He will play midfield not forward this time

1. Sloane, 2. Thompson, 3. B. Crouch, 4. Douglas, 5. M. Crouch, 6. Lyons/Ellis-Yolmen/Mackay/Smith/Laird.

10 players who will run through the midfield off the top of my head. If the coach has plans for Smith and Laird to rotate in the middle it could be hard to see him playing a lot of minutes. It would be a very ballsy pick at his awkward price tag.

He is competing with Gore, Grigg, Yolmen and M Crouch. Lyons is third here. By default, Lyons has moved up the pecking order with Danger gone. He can easily average 85-90.

Any chance for Gore to play round 1 onwards?

he looks advanced, big bodied for a 19 year old.

I also think Anderson @ 223k is a much safer pick, Jed will have the JS unsure about Lyons..

Luckliy for you he isn't, or you'd be stuck with a sub-premo who's only averaged 90 twice in his career.
Nah mate, he'll average 92-98 this year, would make him a decent forward option

I don't see how he averages more in a much weaker team. It's not like he hasn't had any seasons where he played midfield for the whole year. He's been mid only most of his SC life and never rose to any great or consistent heights in a strong to competitive Essendon team.

he spent a lot of time forward last season (had injury issues)
I just think with a full preseason, injury free, the extra responsibility and a lot more time in the middle, he'll score better.
He won't be relevant whatsoever as a mid only of course, but if he got the fwd dpp (which should have happened imo), he could have been a good get at $415k

No idea but heard he is training well. One to watch for nab.

Very interested in Lyons for me it's out of him Anderson and duggan all shown potential and Hoping they will get more opportunities

Apparently Michael Walters is going to get some extra time through the midfield this season - anyone considering him? 433k Fwd

not considering Walters, but hearing that makes me wonder if Barlow will do anything this season
might struggle to average 85 if he's getting less and less mid time

Didn't they say the same thing last year and the year before?

Jarryd Roughead's average hasn't dropped under 95 in the last 5 years. Very little talk of him considering he's a proven SC gun, who you can lock in for 95 points minimum, and 20+ games.

I always seem to get burnt by the big fella!

I'm looking at Gunston, he's less kpf up and down scorer than Roughy
83, 90 and 96 averages the last 3 years, think he'll crack the 100+ average this year.
Gets a lot of the ball, heaps of goals and assists, and contested marks. Plays for the best team and can go huge!
