He averaged 88 in 2014. If you look at Essendons remaining list there wouldn't be too many that would consistently score more than him, so he might end up with a few more points by default. He'd be a chance at a 95-100 average I reckon, which would put him in the top 10-15 forwards. I doubt I'll start with him myself, but obviously he's worth keeping an eye on in the NAB
He's no chance to average 95-100.

But will he be top 10-15 in either position? (Mid-Fwd)

Probably not, just another trade you'll have to use.

Just ask Krujan or joop :D

Unlikely.
I anticipate the trade is possibly coming.. So be it.
I've just moved him to my forward line.. He may end up on my forward bench by year end. If he's still sitting on that line..

Thoughts on Gunston and how Roughead out will effect him?

Had a super consistent year last year... averaged 100 if you disregard the score of 22 when he had a finger issue.

Does Roughy's absence mean more attention and less points? Or more goals and more points? Hawks fans? Glorin ?

Was thinking about this last night. If you consider how the hawks forwards line up I don't think it will affect him one way or another. Gunstan plays up and down the field, regular seen supporting in the defensive goal square and tends to score goals from play creaping back up the ground and not getting picked up on the way forward.
The whole forward line rotates so much that no one player plays a set role and as many as 6-7 players may spend time as the deep 'go to' forward.
I would say that the resting ruck role will become more significant as bringing the ball to ground and allowing the small forwards to lock the ball in. For this reason I think Sisily, ceglar will replace rough/hale and spanger/howe for lake/suckling. Pittonett, Hardwick, Burton, will get a chance at some point with the door opening up for Shem to get a go earlier than expected.
TOB sounds a long way off and would want to put in a big NAB to get a go and while I don't think much of Fitzpatrick he got picked up for a reason and there is a history of these targeted players getting a role in the team.

Absolute spud. I wouldn't go near him. How could you even suggest that?

Lock. Don't give away my POD pls.
Rich - 'lock'
Beams - 'lock'
Rockliff - 'lock'
Hanley - 'lock'
Zorko - 'lock'
Martin - 'lock'
Christensen - 'lock'

No offence, but it's hard to take you seriously when you've said all these players (from the second worst team in the comp) are 'locks'. Very bias.

I'm 90% happy with the rest of my team, but when it comes to F4, I have about 254k left over.

Option 1. Get a mid pricer like Simpkin, Wells, Duggan, etc.

Option 2. Get another rookie, and bank the ~100k.

Option 3. Get another rookie, turn Martin or NicNat into Goldy.

what kind of logic is that?
all midpricers are there for is to trade them to fallen premos when they hit the right price.
he should go up to at least 500k, making him ideal to upgrade to a fallen premo.
would be in top 20-25 fwds easily

Always had the ability to accumulate when not used as a tagger. All depends on how the Bombers use him.

Pitonet is a second year rookie but built like a man at 202cm & 100kg. He has excellent technique too, so no surprises he'd beat Fitzpatrick convincingly in the ruck.
Noticed yesterday while looking at some stats that Fitzpatrick is listed at 200cm and 99kg and is 4 years older. Should at least be competitive.

Burning trades is my logic.

might aswell just get the super premo's & rookies IMHO.

Your question will be answered after NAB and round 1 selections :)

I think you need Goldy imo

I think you're underestimating our midfielders greatly. Lions have always had a few Fantasy gems. As for Christensen, I haven't locked him in (was more indicative of how he's my POD). Nor is he a lock in my SC Preview that I wrote up.

Rockliff, Hanley, Zorko, Martin are all locks. All proven scorers and some are way too cheap to ignore, but depends on which setup you're going for. You're obviously not going to lock every single one into your side...

So then they're not locks. Give me a spell.

Umm, I'm sure you could pick two of them and actually have a solid year. Another person can pick another two and have an equally good year. Seriously, how is that not a lock?

A lock is someone you're going to 100% pick. So they're not locks.

Your idea of 'lock' is to lock every single person you want in one side. I think most people would end up creating about 100 different Supercoach sides/accounts, if that were the case.

No. My idea of a lock is not to call someone a 'lock' if you don't have any intention to pick them.

Hanley would be first picked and 'locked' if he was a back. Not relevant this year unless you are having a punt.

You don't have intention of picking proven Supercoach scorers? Rockliff? Stefan Martin? Pearce Hanley?

If you're referring to the Preview I made, then that comes down to personal choice and team structure. I've already said, you can make a case for most of the guys I've listed as 'locks'. Daniel Rich the only one that I probably should have classed as 'consider'. My first preview I've ever made, so definitely a rookie error.

Not sure what Bato is on. A lock is someone you absolutely 100% must have in your side. Hanley is certainly not one. Rockliff is. Martin is close, but not quite. Rich, Christensen, Beams are certainly not 'must haves'.

Second-highest averaging ruckman who is now a sole ruckman isn't a lock? Ok.

Beams' averages last five years: 113, 115, 102, 123, 100. Not a lock? Ok...

Already said Christensen wasn't a lock in my preview.

Already said Daniel Rich will be changed to a consider.

Pearce Hanley is borderline-lock at that price. Who cares if he's mid only? He'll still offer up a better average than anyone in that price range. Give him a whole season with a fully-fit midfield and he'll only increase his average from previous years. Average of 105-110 is definitely achievable. He is the best player in our team...
