As much as he is a huge flog, Lindsay Thomas is exactly the sort of crumber we need. I think he would instantly improve us. Goldstein will attract crazy offers that we won't be able to get close to matching (Dogs will be watching very closely).

This, Lindsay Thomas should be our no.1 target for FA
Imagine the forward line with strong markers like Cloke Howe and Elliot and crumber like Thomas who know where the ball would go

As for free agent targets. I'd also be interested in signing Lindsay Thomas if he is willing to sign for a lean deal.

Any of the star quality players I can't realistically see us being able to sign if we want to retain Sidebottom, Brown and Swan after our recent trade period.

Swan will decide when his time is up. He knows his body well and will know when it is time to go. At this stage he should be taking it one year at a time and assess at seasons end.

Lindsay Thomas will be thinking he's in that same category as Gary Ablett I reckon. Can't stand the bloke, but agree he's the type of player we need.

Don't care how good a fit L Thomas is I don't want him. I generally don't hate opposition players but make an exception for Thomas (and Christensen). They are better suited to soccer the way they dive and fake for frees at nearly every contest.
