His reputation is in the gutter will never be involved in anything AFL related again.

Probably still be fighting in the courts 5 years from now.

At least Essendon can finally move forward now.

Harsh on Goddard, he has been pretty good this season from the games I have seen.

New TV deal could be announced as early as today, starts in 2017 and worth $2 billion, up from current $1.25 billion.

The AFLPA will ensure that the Salary Cap goes up accordingly which suddenly makes Buddy's deal for the last 6 years of his contract look cheap. Buddy's $1.1 mill/year will equate to the equivalent of $600k/year under the new cap.

Hell there will be some scrambling from player managers in negotiating new contracts. I wonder how many of those recent long term deals that have become commonplace are for a fixed amount like Buddy's and how many have been negotiated on a fixed % of the Salary Cap.
Wasn't the old one $1.25 over 5 year, and this one 2 billion over 6? That means it was 250 million per year going up to 333 million per year.

That's only a 25% increase. Cap could go up to 12.5 million, unless the AFLPA make a good case. They seem pretty feisty about it, so wouldn't be surprised if it went up to about 14 million.
