Cheers. That tweet stole my thunder. You can't ignore the potential for injury of messing with an opponent against the post. It's like throwing somone into the fence
Wingard should walk around in a neck brace for the next few days just to troll Hodge.

It was after the whistle had been blown and Wingard was out of play. Cheap shot from a player who has never learned.

I'd much prefer he gets charged with rough conduct for the head high hit and a separate charge for unduly rough play for putting a player into the post. Give the campaigner the double whammy!!

I'd love it to all fall apart for the Hawks come finals. Hodge is a prick, seeing him be part of a threepeat would be disgusting.

It's amazing that for all the wrist-slitting around here we could be level on points with the unstoppable Hawthorn this weekend.

Oh look!
Just as I mentioned last week.

Hawks: 14 wins 6 losses (full strength & resting players)
Swans: 13 wins 6 losses (1/2 strength & poking eyes out at training)

Went to the game tonight!
Went to the Hawk Geelong game last week too.

The Hawks have a number of players who are made out to be such brilliant players & who finish off some good work up the field.

Rioli, Gunston, Breust, Smith, Hill!

These blokes run well forward of the contest in order to get an easy mark for a soft shot on goal based on the brilliant work in the midfield by Mitchell.
Shut Mitchell down, get into Hodges head, tackle these forward running soft players hard & regularly & they are rendered near useless.
Tonight they were also finally caught out for creeping within the 5 mts of the mark. They push the boundaries.
They have a selected few who will be crude on key play makers in the opposition. Refer to the 2014 GF on Jetta, Hanners & Buddy!

Anyway!

Tonight I saw the team that had the biggest clearance in the last quarter that I've ever seen.

The Hawk supporters!

They cleared the stadium in minutes!

Its true mate if we win tomorrow we would be on the same points but the way they dismantled us, Freo and beat Eagles at home their form has been vastly superior against the best sides.

They played soft football tonight.

I'm not arguing they're a better football side, but if they're 3rd or 4th come finals time they'll struggle to even make the grand final let alone win it.

For all the talk about them being near certainties they're still a long way from it and at the same time we're in pretty bad form yet still pushing for a top 4 spot.

What are the realistic chances that we will have a full line up of our best players first week finals besides parker?

Buddy, tippett, mcglynn, goodes, heeney, reid in the forwards

Hanners, kennedy, jack, mitchell, mcveigh, jetta in the mids

Richards, smith, laidler, grundy, shaw, rampe
On the defense

And a fit rohan, pyke, and reid filling in their roles. with either cunningham bird and lloyd to round off the team as sub with parker hopefully to come back if we make it far enough.

The collingwood game really destroyed our player availability this week. I think heeney, kennedy, hanners, pyke, tippett and jack are still carrying injuries from the last few weeks.

The injuries seem to be heavily affecting team structure and incohesiveness in our offence has been a result.

Granted this week we are in trouble against gws and all i hope is we go through unscathed. We need jetta and mcveigh to play blinders and really deliver to the forward 50 today.

Oh and hi everyone!

Welcome to bigfooty! :)

As long as we don't get any more injuries this year I reckon we should be able to field something similar the that lineup you've listed. Heeney and Laider have minor injuries but Buddy's back is still a week to week proposition, I think the best we can hope for is round 23.

Injuries this year have probably exposed our lack of depth and we seem to be completely lacking forward structure when we don't have players like McGlynn and Rohan pressuring opposition defenders.

Welcome to the board :)

I think as long as we don't get more injuries we should be alright for at least 2nd round of finals (3rd isn't out of contention)
