I'm not so sure the powers that be would do that now, Walesy. Even if John deletes his website, (which he was asked to do by SC) he has shown that it is doable for the copycats out there.

It's been doable for years though, ever since the beat-the-best articles on ts and the trade tracker they had over on the ffc.

It's just another in a long line of face slaps to the community in a misguided attempt to protect their ip.

They should be encouraging people to play their game, not stomping on innovation and whacking the average Joe at the same time.

People should be pissed about this one cause it's well strong handed and a detriment to everyone who plays.

I agree with you in that respect. They should have just put in their own trade tracker if they're so concerned about protecting their precious IP.

I'll be fuming if I look at my cashie league opponents teams and see a 6+ rookies in their best 22 and do a double downgrade because of that, only to see Rance, Sam Mitchell, Robbie Gray etc line up in their starting 22 come game day.

Who the hell has time to set up multiple excel spreadsheets for this stuff.

They rushed in an update to the site that prevents you from seeing other teams benches. Guess they didn't test it overly

And now everyone is at a disadvantage because of his meddling. Only way for him to redeem himself now is to make a new script that allows coaches to see all 30 opposition teams players again.

There's now no way of looking at the full teams of those who are at the top of the overall rankings, to be able to compare your team against theirs and see what POD's you might be able to bring in.

This is my 11th year of SC and this is the single worst decision that has been made.

I remember 5 years ago on TS there were about 15-20 of us in the Top 100 overall, each week we'd analyse the top teams to see who was making which moves, who the POD's were etc.

I've been rubbish for the most part since then, but actually going OK this year, so one of the first things I do on a Sunday night is have a look at the full teams of the overall leaders. Can't do it anymore.

Yeah going ok, have dropped off the last couple of weeks though, was 59th.

There's a bit of a log jam towards the top of the rankings, I'm 349 behind the overall leader, so not too far back.

I reckon a supercoach ombudsman would be handy.
The game needs clarity, a twitter account would do, every question answered, even the scoring system, every change to the rules, or presentation of site.
One person as a representative, maybe a lot of wasted time answering stupid questions, but I reckon an ombudsman would give the game a solid direction.

SC should hire me for that. Getting paid to abuse stupid people would be my dream job.
