It would be great for a song to come out of nowhere to win like Knights of Cydonia did.. Doubt it will ever happen again especially when the winning song is getting over 2 million votesIt still astonishes me that flume is famous for the ever growing average song collection.
The more the vote count increases, and the more you get the very occasional listens voting you will get this commercially popular cross over songs winning. It would be great for a song to come out of nowhere to win like Knights of Cydonia did.. Two door cinema club - are we ready?
Who the **** voted this year.
Two door have dropped like a stone since their first album. Gradually going from summery indie rock to straight out electro pop. Still fun to see live but that's only because 90% of the stuff they played was from their first two albums.
The beauty of democracy is that you have these disagreements.
What interests me is that last year's H100 thread on BF had ~650 replies, this one doesn't even have half. Doesn't feel as big a day this year?
There's a big difference between a boring Hottest 100 and boring year of music. This wasn't a boring year in music. The most boring year of music in history.
I love Ball Park Music but that album was pants. Hopefully they take it as a sign to return to the sound of their first three.

I usually only skip Pariah when I listen through because it's just too long otherwise. Museum is still probably my favourite for consistency and being associated with a great period of my life but I still think HASS has the best high points (Alligator is still probably their best ever song just in front of High Court and I'm so glad to have seen both of them played live)
