If anyone is this way inclined then there really is plenty of value to be found in these Hottest 100 markets. A couple of pages back I posted about this but there were only two markets (outright winner, and how many Flume tracks in the H100). Now there are about 20 markets. There a few inconsistencies throughout so I'd be snapping them up pretty quickly.

Drake for highest animal in the zoo at $5 is huge value

surely The XX Hold on cracks the top 100
I think it will make, but because it was released so late in the year it's not yet in my prediction, just because of the way it works, by the time voting closes it will have moved into my Prediction. Although I don't have much faith in its accuracy.

You can guarantee they're watching this thread because it's just about the only source of constant H100 discussion on the net. I snapped up the $7.50 on offer for Flume getting three songs in the H100 which is too good to be true, and now it's down to equal favourite at $3.50. So pretty happy with that even if it was only a tenner I chucked on. Something else to enjoy on Aus Day if it gets up and if it doesn't then it's just a bit of fun.

Never Be Like You is such a shoo-in for number one that I'm much more interested in who's going to get to number two.

Do you have much faith in the dude on Twitter? Right now it seems to be very skewed towards Aussie punk/rock and I think that isn't reflective of what the final countdown will be. Of course it'll be always be somewhat inaccurate because unlike the year of the Warmest 100(?) when JJJ actually gave you an option to share your votes, for the last couple of years it's only been the diehards who voluntarily share their votes.

I also think his spreadsheets are confusing to follow.

I've got a fair bit of faith in him. I followed him last year and it ended up pretty similar to my count/the actual result. Obviously no one really thought Hoops would win though. In the 6 or 7 counts I did it always started out a little weird. By New Years it had generally sorted itself out. That sort of Aussie Rock type stuff was often over estimated. Smith Street Band were notorious for being too high on the vote counts

Yeah Sportsbet probably lurk here pretty hard actually. Have heard a few stories from mates where they supposedly pay their big earning betters to bet with other companies etc.

Kind of spewing for Chance the Rapper even though I'm sure he couldn't give 2 shits. All Night got massive airplay but then got played again heaps when Kaytranada did the remix. Think I'll just vote the original but the Kaytranada remix is better.

Never really realised that Amy Shark song was a thing but just had another listen and it sounds pretty familiar, can really see that polling high now.

I know what you mean, I thought the original and the Kaytra edit would cancel each others votes out and neither would make the 100. They each have their positives, I prefer the original though.

What's weird is that only the Kaytra edit is on the shortlist/website – people will either vote for that through no other choice, by accident, or JJJ might even combine all the write-in votes for the original with the votes for the edit. Which would be strange, but probably not unprecedented

Done - Camp Cope
Pink + White - Frank Ocean
Adore - Amy Shark
Ultralight Beam - Kanye West
Anything Near Conviction - Luca Brasi
Surprise Yourself - Jack Garratt
Native Tongue - Gang Of Youths
The Opposite Of Us - Big Scary
What You Mean To Me - Montaigne
Say it - Flume

No Order, got there in the end.

Who is the Twitter user? Link/handle pls?

BABYMETAL - Karate
K.Flay - Blood In The Cut
Ladyhawke - A Love Song
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Jesus Alone
David Bowie - Lazarus
Honeyblood - Ready For The Magic
Solange - Cranes in the Sky
Beyoncé - Sorry
Angel Olsen - Shut Up Kiss Me
Florence + the Machine - Stand By Me

I am now so out of touch that I make the Hottest 100 less relevant simply by voting in it.

Wow, so Flume doesn't get #1 in the album poll! Skin was paying $1.14 to top it at last glance on SB (the market's been taken down now obviously).

It'll probably be Violent Soho or something that gets number one. Do we reckon this'll impact the Hottest 100 at all?

According to LOOFrundry's polling on Twitter, Soho currently have 5 songs in his 100, although he says that they're possibly overestimated.

As I limit myself to one track per artist, the bolded 16 songs are for me to chose from.

1. [Allday - Sides] Gotta get my dose of Allday in, listened to side 70 times this year acording to my iPod, it's not his best, but I hope he makes it in.
2. [Flume - Never Be Like You] This was my most played song of 2016 according to my iPod, 112 plays this got, which is probably largely due to the fact it got released before the album. it was a really hard choice between this one and Lose It and S&R but this one is a quality track.
3. [Desiigner - Panda] Panda Panda Panda.. need i say more. This song blew up so hard it was felt everywhere.
4. [Rae Sremmurd - Black Beatles] I downloaded this song like two weeks ago and it's already had 29 goes round on my playlist. Tune
5. [Drake - Feel No Ways] Drake's best song of his album, lovely little melody, picked up 72 plays this year.
6. [Frank Ocean - Solo] This song speaks ot anyone who has ever enjoyed going raw.. need i say more.
7. [Kanye West - Real Friends] **** this album was an absolute mess, the staggered releases, different versions and a muddled vision meant as an album it was a piece of shit. But Real Friends is a tune as are a couple of others of this colleciton.
8. [Childish Gambino - Redbone] I was so dissapointed with Childish's new album, he has a wonderful voice, but i want some ****ing rap! Ah well, this song is still good. I'll give it some love.

I honestly couldn't split the other songs up to much. Not because they were all brilliant, but because I didn't really love any of them that greatly. So i'm going to do something I've never done before and vote off of the shortlist.

9. [Two Feet - Go **** Yourself] An amazing tune, i suggest anyone who ahs a spare two minutes go and have a listen, and then have a listen to the rest of this blokes stuff. I played this song 94 times this yea.
10. [Paul Conrad - California] Another absolutely amazing little song. Love it to bits, played it 130 times this year.
