I actually think 2016 has been pretty terrible for music. Especially Hottest 100 wise. What passes as a popular song in 2016 is really boring. And anything more interesting in the H100 will be rare because they're just few and fair between. Again we will have a top 100 clogged with safe choices as voters these days seem to prefer non challenging interchangeable background music to any thing exciting.a great list

PhewWe really will never get another "Knights of Cydonia" at #1.

You'd prefer riptide, big jet plane, thrift shop or little lion man?
Little Lion Man was a far from safe or mainstream choice when it topped the chart; folk music, swear words at the heart of the chorus. It was actually a classic Hottest 100 number one that became popular after appearing on JJJ. I know it's popular to hate Mumford & Sons now, but they don't deserve to be mentioned in the same bland category as Riptide or just utter shit that was Thrift Shop. You'd prefer riptide, big jet plane, thrift shop or little lion man?
When you look at the winners of this countdown Knights of cydonia ranks near the top
Disappointing year in music for me. Never be like you should be number one, but real chance for Hilltops (1955) and Illy (papercuts) to get a number 1.
Frank Ocean watch: How many songs from Blonde in the 100? Solo and Pink + white should make it. Potentially Nights, Self control or nike as well.
Man I hated that song then, and I hate it now.Little Lion Man was a far from safe or mainstream choice when it topped the chart; folk music, swear words at the heart of the chorus.
Have heard her get a bit of coverage of late yes.Has Maggie Rogers really been getting airplay? Alaska is a great song so I hope it poles. It's in a similar vain to a lot of the stuff chicks generally vote for so I'd like to see it pole.
Yeah she has had a fair amount of air play Alaska and Dog Years, I reckon Alaska should be a fairly easy bet to make it in there somewhere.Has Maggie Rogers really been getting airplay? I never got Big Scary despite people telling me I'd like them, but The Opposite Of Us is a song I used to love hearing come on at work.

Potentially. Hard to get a reading on it. I think we'll see a few in the 101-200 for frank.I'm voting for Ivy, I thought that'd be at least in the 100? Seems the most single-worthy alongside Solo and Pink + White for mine.
The one that sounded like a Drake b-side? I think there's a reason he never finished it...Am I the only one who agrees with Frank in releasing Nikes as the lead single? Clearly the most radio-friendly of anything on there.
He really stuffed it though, Comme Des Garçons had all-timer written all over it if he'd fleshed it out.

If not for this thread, I don't think I would've known that Hilltop Hoods had released a new album. Are they really still that popular on JJJ?
Good list. I did notice that a lot of the presenters voted for Ultralight Beam, so I reckon that will be a bit of a bolterThis is the results of my mathematical prediction model as of day 1 of voting. As not everyone votes on Day 1, I'll allow the model to continue to create a final prediction after the last day of voting. The 2016 Album Poll results will also change the predictions. I've left out Like A Versions as there is no solid way to gauge their popularity, although I will expect a few to get in like DMA's, maybe Cub Sport or Halsey.
