What about 9 & Touhy for Mitchell & 16. We are paying slight overs at 9 for Mitchell and they're paying slight overs at 16 for Touhy
So Touhy and a seven spot downgrade for Mitchell? That is enormously in our favour.

Touhys value is a second rounder at best. He'd barely be best 22 for the swans.

His outside game is what we could definitely do with, money not an issue. Not sure he is on the table at all at the moment...!
I think with the Emergence of Josh Kelly, Lachie Whitfield, and Scully he is definately expendible.
The others have shown more this year and that they are more durable, so i think they might let WHE leave if he is on a big contract which i suspect he is. As i recall he was really starting to show something last time he was off contract and GWS locked him down to pry away any suitors.

What? Tuohy would be best 22 at most teams. He might not be setting the world on fire at the moment, but don't let that blind the facts. He is a mature player with still plenty of good football left, rarely injured, highly rated by coaches, a penetrating kick, smart defender and takes the game on from the half back line I.e. where it's won and lost to a large degree these days.

I think his worth is in the 20s as you suggest, but only that low as he isnt a KPP or pure mid. But make no mistake, he is a very, very good footballer...

Say you rate Touhy at pick 22 yeah? About what i think he's worth is. 9 + 22 =2300 points. 16 + 12 = 2300 points. Evaluating Mitchell at pick 12

The GWS fire sale of players for unders is a rare case. They have a number of GWS academy players, that will cost them less coin and need to clear up space.

I don't see why people are not jumping on board getting a group of GWS players for unders to help build our team.

Replace Clem Smith, DVR, Tutt, Jones - Marchbank, Tomlinson, Stewart, Steele....
You can probably add Foster and Gowers to that and take that to bet365, other agency are available.

I don't believe the points systems can be used for that way, to me it's just a system built by the AFL to put some structure around the academy system.

A gun midfielder is worth a lot more than an average HBFer and an upgrade from pick 16 to 9....particularly when history shows us the difference between those picks is rrally only personal preference. There is unlikely to be any significant difference in exposed talent, it's not like it gets them to the pointy end of the draft.

Sydney would only do that if Mitchell was definitely leaving and no one offered anything better. Why wouldn't they just take a first round pick and get two goes at the draft?

Touchy has a bit to offer but he's not much more than average. Plenty of players like him and around. Not to mention that Sydney have taken to playing a couple of their umpteen quality mids across HB.

Why apart from their race are Smith and SPS similar? Completely different players
Im assuming it's because they are both from WA. You know what those sand gropers are like. Alway talking about back home, "oh man, I miss the macas statue, and the giant paper clip too. I need to get back for a Sunday session at the Cot. Gotta go home."

Josh Jenkins just signed a huge deal with Adel.

While Jenkins and Levi aren’t in the same league, tall forwards are rare as hens teeth, so I would suggest if Carlton plan to trade Levi (granted, this flies in the face of recent reports) his price, both in terms of his salary asking price and in terms of what clubs would have to give us to seal the deal, would have just risen.
Also Brisbane were after him - so do they now turn their attention to Levi?

If Tom Bell was worth early 20's pick - then Levi must be worth pick 10!!!!!!!!!!

really? 24 years old (bolton said no one over 22)and as sos & trigg have both stated they will not be chasing any big fish or offering any big contracts this year. doesn't seem to fit to me.
I get where you're coming from but they've spoken to him a number of times and are interested, whether anything comes of it remains to be seen.

Very happy today to see Jenkins sign along the dotted line. Casboult's stock just rose considerably, particularly at Brisbane.

What can we expect / hope for in return? I think a first-round pick isn't out of the question.

I actually really like Rowe, but what could he be worth on the market?

He is out-of-contract at the end of this season and turns 29 in November. A handy pinch-hitter in the ruck, elite spoiler, who plays hard and disciplined footy. Rowe's decision-making amongst traffic lets him down at times, but as a package he brings value.
