So Bolts mentioned in the post match presser that Cripps, Gibbs and Curnow have carried our midfield this year and we need more depth. I think we will do something to get a quality mid, either through the draft or a trade.
Makes folly talk of getting rid of Gibbs

I know you'll save me from those men in white coats Bueller. Coats, men, white, Starchamber, 95....... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
The first time I quoted myself, I was expecting it to trigger something out of Being John Malkovich...

I hope not. I'd like to see him get a good run at it. A bit of confidence in himself would work wonders.
I don't know what your mate is saying or what you've heard but he won't be delisted or going anywhere he is a required player and let's hope he has a big pre season and comes back next year a better player.

I've heard from two sources that there may be a big trade between GCS and RICH were Jack goes North for Prestia. Another GCS player said to be involved and draft pick swaps. All rumour though.
Because Lynch and Wright aren't going to make it.

I call bull dust

They could play Lynch, Riewoldt & Wright in one forward line with Wright pinch hitting in the ruck...that would be an amazing key forward trio.

Riewoldt getting 2nd best defender and Wright the 3rd would be a nightmare for opposition teams.
Day can play defender.

Cant see Jack wanting to leave to GC though and no way Richmond voluntarily trades him.

Also like to give a clip to a few posters on here who were slagging off young Mathieson from the Lions in the last few days.

The kid is only 19 years old, has played a handful of games, is in his first season in a team that gets smashed every week (except against us) and still he gives everything, played well today getting 19 touches. To think a few of you were giving him shit, what do you expect from a 19yo taken at pick 39? He has shown more in his limited games this season than so many of our players past and present.

Melbourne clubs need to get into his ear now about getting back home soon.

Would take.

I can understand people being down on him right now, but I'll look forward to see Boekhorst in a more fluent team.

Maybe that will come about next year, because he won't function in a scrapping team. It's not what he was drafted for.
Hopefully we can wheel and deal for a couple of picks inside the top 10, ie go into the draft with at least one extra first rounder and hopefully snare a few second rounders and on-trade them as well.
Boekhorst would be a better running player with one or a couple of McCluggage/Ainsworth/Brodie etc

Certainly changed my mind today and I ain't afraid to admit it either.
I guess my thing with Gibbs is that he has these huge games but doesn't do it regularly like a Rockliff, Ablett, Kennedy, etc.
With Murphy missing a lot of games through injury over his journey, I guess Gibbs is handy to have.
Yes he would get us a first rounder but we have lost enough talent in recent years, so if we do trade for a first rounder it needs to be someone else, or 2nd tier player + pick upgrade.

Most players will look better when everyone understands their role within team structures.
Some will shine regardless but others need to understand and then fit into a system.

Boekhorst has many tricks but he's not the fire-starter. We need more playmakers for the likes of Boekhorst to shine.

Apparently SOS thinks DVR has alot of qualities carlton are looking for but needs to get to the next level, will he survive, odds against I'd say, if 2014 crop are let go wow that's another draft down the pan.
Heard a whisper that DVR is going to be delisted and picked up again as a rookie for next year!
