Not sure how it can be a good side.

From the eyes of a neutral

Docherty, Who?, Has barely played
Touhy, Weiering, Who?
Boekhorst, Cripps, Who?
Overated ruckman, GCS player, 26yo list clogger
Who?, Who?, Who?
Who?, List clogger, Who?

A team full of players that have barely played a game, are list cloggers, play for other clubs or are still in the TAC cup does not look good.
Lol.

Does Cam Mcarthy just simply hate GWS and living in Sydney or does he really want to return home to Perth. If hejust hates Sydney then i really hope we at least speak with him.

GWS may be willing to deal with us more than Freo as we hadnt tapped him up.

Sweeping him from under Freo's nose would be awesome, but then I'm not sure I want a player that has held his club to ransom.

For the situation to have taken its current course, either Freo offered him an obscene amount of money or he really is struggling mentally. Neither of those help us IMHO.

I think we should give Gorringe a go as that backup ruck/forward over Phillips. Think he will be better around the ground and also up forward. Also serviceable in the ruck and with his athleticism he might be a better option than phillips for the secondary ruck position trying to exploit the oppositions ruckman.
I think that this might happen this weekend. Bolts and co might be hoping that Gorringe will want to show GC17 why they shouldn't have gotten rid of him.

Apparently he is properly homesick. Misses his family, particularly his sisters.

So no, I don't think we can sweep him up

I tend to agree, though I think you may be a little harsh on ed.
We have a long way to go and a lot of list turnover/development to go through before we can begin to get overly excited.
What we, as a supporter base, have got to ask ourselves is.. do we want to be a middling club with minimal chance of winning it all like Richmond or a club always in contention like Hawthorn?

Jack Watts has played a couple of good games this year, could he be a FA target at the end of the year??? Could be an Everitt replacement.

If anything it increases out Pick 1 count for the lols.

However Melbourne might be looking to hold onto him if Jesse leaves

i said someone of his type, his leadership skills if we can. i believe its what we lack
Right, got it. Sorry if I misread your post.

Yes, obviously we need such.
Every team needs one.

They were talking about this the other night on SEN, how Cotchin is not like that, and thus not such a GREAT leader. I'd argue our MM is the same.

But reality is those types of hard ass leaders don't grow on trees.

You could argue, aside from a host of other variables, that MM and BG are not hard players and thus have not been able to achieve higher success. Of course there are other factors, such as Malthouse, and shit drafting, and shitter development, etc etc etc, but I am under no illusion that TRUE (hard) leaders will get more from their comrades.

Cripss is hard at the ball, but is he a hard ass?
Weits has shown surpising courage the last two weeks, but I don't see him as the Hodge or Selwood type.

That type of player has a hardness that borders on insane.
And in Hodge's case a nastiness.
Selwood I would call it mongrel.

Robbo was a hard ass but had poor skills.

Who's likely to be elevated now that Harry Mckays on the LTI list? Would it be Byrne or would he not need to because he's the nominated rookie?
Byrne is our nominated rookie for 2016, so he's already on the senior list and eligible for senior selection.

If we do upgrade a rookie for McKay it'd likely be either Galucci or Gowers.

Completely agree with this. Never heard of either of them.
Either of them? HB: Touhy, Weitering, Who? (Byrne)
The post was in response to a poster who said isn't this a good side and had a list of Byrne, Plowman, Casboult, Glass-Mckasker, Prestia, Ainsworth, Sumner and a few others. Anyone who does not support Carlton would look at that list and laugh as two of the players don't even play for us, two of them are yet to debut for Carlton, one of them has never played AFL, one has played one game and two of them are still in the TAC cup. This is not a good side.

Judd had already won a premiership at the Eagles, won a brownlow, a Norm Smith and BandF's
Ablett had won two premierships at the Cats
Josh Carr left PA straight after their premiership

All 3 had achieved the ultimate at their previous clubs and gave everything, it seems for these guys once they have reached the pinnacle there were other factors that mattered more than success. If T.Mitchell was homesick i think there would be more chance of luring to Victoria if the Swans win the flag.

If someone who was not a Carlton follower saw the list "Club legend' posted saying this is a good team they would of laughed. I used the word "Who?" to replace players he listed who had either, not played a senior game of AFL, not played a single game for Carlton, were still playing TAC cup or quite simply don't play for us.

Yeah mate, for real. I wondered if you had been smoking when you suggested a side full of players who are yet to play a senior game of AFL, have yet to debut for our club, had played 1 game for our club, were still playing TAC cup and one player who simply plays for another team is a good side.
