This is pretty much what I have expected and wanted.
Late first and two early seconds = Clarke, Gallucci and Simpkin with any luck, although the romantic in me wouldn't mind Kerr.
Would push for Barrett to be added to Marchbank and Pickett for some mature(ish) midfield depth (although SOS would have the
inside info if an upgrade on Whiley)
I'd say Barrett would be an upgrade on Graham, basically a faster left footed version. Would be very handy.

Before we turn pick five into pick sixteen and players we need to see if we can turn Tuohy into the GWS boys we're after.

It's not what you said. :D

It is what I meant. I like Rowe for us but people thinking we can flog him off for anything are kidding themselves. I think someone who will most likely not be on our list in 2 years, like Rowe, would have minimal value.

Feel for Ahern, could be the straw that breaks the Camels back.... Another year in the rehab group, will be a very very lonely place.... I'd still consider him in a Marchbank deal.. Or at least ask the question. Still have no problem throwing something decent at Steele either and with StKilda wanting a sure thing with pick 10 they may cool a bit of the youngster putting us back in the box seat.

Honestly though every player we have shown interest in is either injured or has become injured. Tomlinson committed and is staying put and is fit and healthy. Get a bloody witch doctor down to PP.... Somethings going on down there!!!!!!

Unless SOS likes dealing in petty cash or is prepared to trade a big name like BG I reckon he won't do as many trades as last year especially now that Casboult is signed up.

Picks 5 and a top 3 pick next year (likely pick 1) for 4 and 6 this year?

No freaking way.
You're the one who wants to trade our first round pick from next year mate... so why should you jump all over someone who wants to trade it as well?

And who says that we are even going to be close to being a top 3 pick?

Still not in love with the idea of trading for Marchbank, particularly if pick five is involved.

Just can't see the point of difference he offers over Weitering and Plowman.
Weitering, Marchbank, Plowman - can all play tall / medium and use the ball well
Byrne, Doc, Tuhoy - good running, users of the ball who can play medium / small

Our backline for the next 8 years assuming we replace like for like with Zac over the next few years.
