2 bits of "info" or "gossip" i got told today. Take it or leave it only passing on.

Graham and Everitt to Suns for any early 2nd rounder

Marchbank Pickett and a late 2016 1st rounder for Pick 5
Thanks mate appreciate your info.

Don't hesitate to post any other info you get :)

And I like the idea of those 2 trades.

Tough to call this far out, but I expect significant improvement from teams below us and only a few above us to drop.

Bottom 4 is a real chance.
Yes, I think bottom 4 is most likely scenario. Apart from Weitering, I can't see any of our draft picks being at the stage where they could have break out years. Hard to see where the improvement in the midfield is going to come from for us to do better next year, and if guys like Gibbs and Cripps get injured we could be in trouble.

McKay could have an impact in 2017?

It would want to be an all time defense given the amount of ball that will be coming their way. Marchbank shares a broadly similar skill set to Plowman and Weitering. A nice get for sure, but a luxury we can ill afford.

If the GWS trade goes as speculated, that will be three years and counting since we have invested in elite midfield talent.
Agree ... but we have another 3 years of drafting to do, and trading. From next year onwards I'd expect us to be hunting via FA midfielders (and a ruckman) . I really like the idea of building or backline and forward lines first - the opposite of what we did last time.

Absolutely.........but how much trouble is trouble?
We're not making the eight next year and my only concerns are for Gibbs & Cripps not to be expected to carry all the load.

Let's see what shows it head through the trade period but more importantly, what surfaces next year.
2017 can only be a 'putting the pieces together' year. The icing should come about in subsequent years.

I hope they all have improvement, SOS has been better than I expected, Curnow is going to be a beauty I reckon, and hopefully big McKay gets a good run at it next year (not so sure on Cuningham at this stage but it would be great if he comes good). McKay will take a few years to mature, I'm not really expecting much of an impact at all next year.

I am quietly confident Charlie Curnow will have a break out year, Jack SOS will continue to improve and Boekhurst with an uniterupted preseason will repay the faith.. I think we can improve a little..

Last year was from the horses mouth, todays info was from a close friend of the decision maker at the blues who should remane nameless that was the full back in the team of the century.

Losing Murph & Byrne exposed our forward run.

Wafer thin, must be addressed in the draft.
not sure if we have same view or not .... we need players who are goal to goal midfielders , they work very hard both ways like murphy does . Gibbs and Cripps work hard but both are more attack minded...they tried Boekhorst and Buckley at it but i think their tanks was not up to it

IF we had a forward line with a number of options and they were all able to kick goals on a regular basis, Levi would not be a problem as we would be more competitive and the pressure would be off Levi. We have plenty of forward entries but poor return. Every game we have won this season has been from accurate kicking in front of goals.
As he is our only real target he is easy to defend and his kicking is critical so the pressure on him rises. No one runs past for the hands as I feel that want him to work his way out of it through the pressure on him when he is having a shot on goal.
Hey it bugs the crap out of me too that he can't kick but we need him for our structure while these young kids come through
We have plenty of Forward 50 entries...but they are bombed in to a 3 on 1 contest...and the 3 aren't Blues!!!
