Fourth year running, leave a post when there's a club confirmation of a signing/departure/other change and I'll put it on the master list. Otherwise, plenty of discussion threads already:

When are the coaches contracts until? I understand , based on AFLCA guidelines most are told by Aug1? or 31st if they will be contracted for the next year. This gives them time to look for alternate employment. ie Hocking, Sumich.

Good layout. :thumbsu:

I assume with the AFL and SANFL teams both finishing this weekend, we'll start seeing the delistings this week, maybe even Monday.
They're not usually that quick off the mark. Then again, that may have changed as a result of changes to FA rules (i.e. the introduction of Delisted Free Agents a couple of years ago).

I suppose after the Sydney teams collect their annual gift basket of top 10 players for chump change draft picks, we'll slide to pick 16-18 or thereabouts in the draft order.

Hamish has some work to do again.
Is anyone in the academy actually rated this year? Also, Sydney won't have many high draft picks to use for bidding (now you can only use the same number of picks as you have list spots, rather than stockpiling 10 picks to use in the bidding as last year).

From memory there's at least one very highly rated prospect.

You'd think our 4th and 5th round picks will be used to put Beech and ROB on our senior list?

Keenan Ramsay and Paul Hunter I think will be delisted off our Rookie list.

Pretty sure Lowden will be delisted

Grigg traded
CEY traded
Lyons/Mackay trade bait
Hendo will walk and use his FA

Hey sorry to intrude, but as far as the Swans go, we won't have anyone until about the third round or later I reckon.
GCS have Scheer (spelling?) and Bowes, GWS have a crapton of quality.

Also, isn't the draft order sorted by the ladder position at the end of the h&a season?

No, it's decided after finals, where you finished in the season is only used as a tiebreaker, ie Hawthorn and us were both knocked out at the same stage, but they finished higher in the season, so they finish 5th while we're 6th.

Future trades from last season are already baked into the draft order as well.

Id like to see Ramsay given one more year. Has shown a bit and big fellas need more time.

Can you add a segment for uncontracted players. Not much has been said about the few remaining outside of Lyons and Thommo. I think Wigg and Cheney are on that list.

Waiting for them to specify what kind of deal it is; the obvious thought is a straight promotion, but it doesn't actually say
The obvious thought was that he would have been promoted last year. Due to a monumental list management failure (i.e. the decision to re-sign Grigg), that didn't happen. Surely it must happen this year?

So now what? We have four confirmed outs (Lyons, VB, Jaensch and Lowden).

Do we re-sign Dear for one more year, delist Grigg and Henderson, take 13, 43, 53 and 67 to the draft and upgrade O'Brien?
