Two weeks ago, Kim Hagdorn said on 882 that Ross Lyon and Fremantle know that this is not their year and have decided to focus on next year instead.

He says that Fremantle will have Cale Hooker and Cam McCarthy next year and will be aggressively trading for Jesse Hogan as well.

This was the reason that they decided to extend Ross Lyon's contract now rather than later so that he can coach this year without any pressure.

By the way we played on Sunday, I'm starting to get the "Haggers Horn."

Where did Neale say he wanted to leave. He's categorically stated many times he loves it here, not least of which because we were the only ones who gave him a chance. Am I just being obtuse?

Also, Prior was on 6pr today (why has Ross boycotted the show this year?), when asked if we would be going back to how we played last year, he pretty much said that we were sticking to the changes, as this is clearly the way the game is going, although they were looking at it all again on review.

Don't mince your words talking about that shit, that's how bogus rumours gets started... Clubs sniffing about players has got precisely jack shit to do with somebody actively wanting to leave. All it DOES say to us is that other teams want him. Let's be very clear on that, lest you perpetuate a rumour that doesn't yet exist.

On eagle radio after the game on Saturday night, Norm from Nollamara phoned into the show to start sledging Ross Lyon that he lacked the guts to speak on air after the Loss to the Bulldogs.
Langdon told Norm, Ross Lyon is not contracted this year.

Did I start the rumour? It's a bloody football forum to talk football. Go to the rumours and scandal page. That's what people do on public forum they talk. People discuss shit.

It's obvious his manager wants more money that's why he's leaking the story to the media. That's how it works. Clubs are interested of course. He is a gun player. It's called negotiations.

I posted in another thread tonight that Karl Langdon said on Saturday night that Ross is not contracted this year.

Some dick phoned in to say Ross was too gutless to come on air after two losses.

Karl said that they could not come to commercial terms to get Ross on every Monday, however Ross has agreed to appear whenever a major announcement is made. Last week it was Chris Bond, this week it is Michael Prior. So each Monday night a coach will be made available to 882, just not Ross.
