I have a suspicion it's similar to MJ at the Bulls (and no I'm not saying he's as good as His Airness), he likely demands the same standards he sets for himself of everybody else. Causes a bit of friction amongst the lazier/less physically able squad members. Just my theory anyway.

That's not necessarily what's happening. When a club takes the youth line, the older players are entitled to ask questions about their future prospects within the team.

See this is so typical of the way stories are being dished out by the media. The headline catches the only negative in the interviews that they can find whilst it was actually very supportive comments from former players.

Our year never really got out of second gear, and the buck stops with the coach, right or wrong. I think Ross, club,
will not be taking a step back nest pre-season.
Get on the front foot and ensure we have done everything possible to get back on coarse.
If we are truly awful next year, which I doubt, the obvious bias in this town will be horrendous.
Take Kennedy, NN, Shuey, Hurn, out of the eagles and see how fast they sink.
One decent full forward makes a bog ordinary team look a lot better.

Same, annoyed that it gives the indication that all the players and coaches want out, reality is that most would want to stay but the club is looking at significant changes at the end of the year.

An article in the Worst Australian this morning proudly proclaims "The West best performing paper in country" based on numbers sold. The rest must be absolute crap if that is true.

A trusted source "close to the West" told me it is a condition of employment that all employees must buy a copy of the paper when they tell or write a lie. Easy to see why circulation would go up.
