Not everyone's favourite I know, but Basil does make the valid point that our poor start to the year has induced a load more change than otherwise would have happened if we'd been thereabouts Top 8 this year. I hope the experimentation that we've seen with the Barlow role change, the discovery of Crozier down back and the blooding of newbies continues through the back end of the season. I need to watch the replay but someone mentioned Suban has been shifted to the outside in the last game against Port - that'd be interesting if true and persevered with as he does have a raking kick and might be better out in space.

Yep Suban wasn't in the middle once against Port. He played solely on the outside against Brisbane also. Pretty certain it is a permanent move as he is making less mistakes and his kicking suits outside play far more.

I think this article really sums Brad Hardie up. Started off with the intention of writing a Midseason Report Card for Freo/Weags but instead finishing up two small summaries that don't really encapsulate anything across the broader picture. Then he rambles on about indistinct issues with no clear direction or resolution.

Can injury payments still push you over the cap like what happened to us back in the day, or have they changed that system now?

We've probably paid out enough to build our own hospital wing this year.

So they are doing a salary cap audit on the Premiers and Minor Premiers. Well I'm shocked.

The AFL actually doing something you expect them to.

They are doing a audit on the incoming and outgoing payments of the players, so in reality it could be for targetting gambling, third party payments, salary cap breaches etc. And he wasn't sure if it was routine or targetted Maybe a quick call to the AFL to ask would have helped?

That's changed. Injury/rookie upgrade payments are outside the cap
