Best laid plans mate.....:D
And the best nights out are usually the unplanned, impromptu type.
This is very true

And as it is I reckon I'm going to be driving now Saturday and avoiding getting on the piss

Plus it wouldn't be much of a fight
Would be over before it started and then we would have to resort to actually talking to each other

Isn't the beer to help deal with the need to talk to each other :p

It's a winter sport.
That's what me mum said when i was just talking to her!

And as I said.. and I am happy to play in the rain, but with the choice I may stay home and stay warm!

Still probably going to go :D

The weather doesn't look as bad as it was against Port a few years ago - a bit of rain doesn't hurt.
More than once. There was that game when the stand was being built about 3-4 years ago but I went to a Port game over 10 years ago where it was torrential rain. Didn't move from my seat all day :D

I remember 2 games in 2 years a couple years back down here where the rain was just nuts - there was waterfalls down the rows in the Ablett Terrace with how heavy and consistent the rain was.

I wear Dr Martens (with 2 layers of socks) to the games, and with both the KP games, when I took my shoes off post match I was able to wring out the socks and had to dry my feet cause of how wet they were. I sat in my seat the whole match and didn't move until the final siren, was absolutely saturated but I had decided if the players are running around in the rain then I had no excuse to not sit there and watch.

The last two games were are great challenge to stay in the seat and watch the game and it wasn't raining let's hope they don't play like that today.

If you wear thongs it prevents that problem. ;)

I was just reading that it's meant to absolutely bucket down.
Sitting at KP at 6pm in pouring rain? Erm no thanks.

There was a game against the Dees a few years back that it poured from start to finish.

At 3/4 time I considered going home, thought to myself '**** it, I'm already wet and the Cats are kicking to my end this quarter'

Wish I had gone home, reckon we kicked 2 goals and it was just a shit slog.. got to my car. Took off a poncho.. under that I had a waterproof jacket, hoodie, flannelette shirt, t-shirt, singlet..

Every layer was soaking wet

Ha ha. Go to the afl site. Huge storm. :)
I've been looking at the radar on weather zone... the bloody thing is moving right to left as well when normally it goes left to right from the west of the state to the east.

This is going to be a last minute decision I think

They get paid very well to do it... you absolutely have an excuse not to sit there and watch

I remember that game, same in just being soaking wet post match.

But the most stupid thing during the game was the over zealous security at the game - at that time I sat in the same row as Josh Walkers grandmother, and our bay in the Ablett Terrace was empty, particularly the rows in the back where we sat. Josh's grandmother put up her umbrella - no one sitting in the row behind her (we sat 2nd back row), no one sitting in about the 4 or 5 rows in front of her, and I was halfway across the sane row and closest to her. She was told to put the umbrella down as it as dangerous and not fair on other spectators - she was interfering with no one and should have been able to keep it up.
