So we are almost 2k ahead of last year, hopefully that means we will break 50k for the first time

swans supporter (no games)
cyggy club (babies / no games)
swans care (donating junior gift pack to young swans fan)

I think they do, but pretty sure all clubs include those memberships too, as the likes of Hawthorn and Collingwood wouldn't have such huge membership numbers otherwise.

They do.

Hawks are also bloated from the likes of the tasse membership. Sadly GWS get bloated by the Canberra membership etc...

It still raises money for the club which is a good thing overall, better than having to rely on handouts from the AFL.

Sadly, last year I had double the GWS memberships compared to the Swans.

The GWS 3 games passes were good value to watch their games so I had a couple to go with mates for some of the good games

Ah yes that would make much more sense. There used to be a joke going around that clubs would inflate their membership numbers by getting people to sign up their pets etc but I don't think the AFL would count those in their 'official' tally.

Those arent counted. Pretty sure only memberships that get you to games are counted.

I got my membership. Very excited for next year hoping to go to more than the 4 games I saw this year

The AFL will close its audit this season delivering two numbers - “access” members and “non-access” members. Access members are those who have tickets to at least three games. Non-access members have handed over their money to their favourite AFL clubs with no expectation of a seat at a home match.

I found this article when googling memberships. So I guess there is a 3 game minimum on a membership counting rather then just game access. If this article is still current that is.

I had to cancel my normal membership for next year. Turns out my family of 2 is turning in to 4 in May. Bit disappointed because I think the Swans will give the flag a real shake next year. I'll probably end up getting one of the basic supporter memberships or something, but probably won't get to many games.

thats a shame but grats! im sure those 2 swans memberships will turn into 4 soon enough!

Congratulations to you & your better half. Short term pain for long term gain. 2 new members down the road and imagine, you can say "sure, he's an all right player. But you should have seen Adam Goodes/Kirky/Parker etc play back in the day."

Add one more to the members number. Just purchased a family package for Christmas. Other half couldn't tell me what she wanted. She loves coming to the footy so why not have the best of both worlds?

I gave the ex-wife a frypan once. She asked what would she do with it. I suggested she should use it for practice.

Didn't see anything re qld based supporter packages in the email I got yesterday. Last year's package was a waste of time so maybe they pulled it. Was way cheaper to buy tics to the Lions and Suns games which is what we did.

Hopefully a bit more improves for the bride. When we got tickets to the GF courtesy of friends who were overseas she was decked out head to toe in Swans gear at the transport. When asked by spud who her favourite player was she couldn't name anyone.

I walked away.
