Got any friends who live 8 kms further out? Just list their address instead if that suits.
Will have to ask about. I'll just mail the club and see what they say. What's 8kms between mates.
Contact them before the first payment is taken out. HBF called today and changed his membership with no worries, but if you start paying for it on auto renew it will be more difficult to make updates.
Should be tax deductible as a donation.

Ditched the reserved seats. Don't need them as I rarely sit there anyway.

I'm contemplating changing from Carlton to AFL membership..mainly because the away seats my mates and I get with our Carlton reserved seat memberships are average at best. Plus AFL membership gives you the added bonus of being able to go to other games.
Can anybody give me some feedback on AFL membership? And is it hard to get a seat at Etihad games?

I'm an AFL member and go walkup for nearly every game...probably only upgrade if we play Hawks at Etihad.
I love it and won't go back to a Carlton membership.
Just renewed but also organised a junior interstate membership for my 4 year old son

Perfect..thank you. Have heard a lot of positive things, just don't know any Carlton supporters with an AFL membership. You've probably answered this..but do you think there's any point paying the extra $50 (I think) and getting the guaranteed reserved seat for 5 games?
I personally don't see the value in it but then I prefer to sit up the top. There are walk up areas on the bottom level at the G but you have to get there quite early...depends what you're after. I didn't even upgrade for our games against Essendon, Richmond and Collingwood this year.
Jeremias helped me with most of my questions when I joined up.

What level are your seats on MEB ?
I don't have reserved seats so level 4 at the G in the Ponsford and level 3 at etihad on one of the wings.

I love it because I can go to any 40 games in Melbourne and finals tickets are really cheap...even as a neutral I've been to some cracking finals matches for $7.50/$18.50.

I have been a Carlton and AFL member (with club support) for years. Giving up the club membership next year and just sticking with AFL.

It's about $580 from memory. You start as a silver member and go on the wait list to become gold. Gold members with club support have guaranteed access to purchasing a grand final ticket (I think they're about $250). Silver members have access to grand final tickets if there's any left after the golds have purchased.
If you have club support I believe the dollars equivalent to an 11 game general admission membership goes towards the club. Your years as a member continues unbroken and you get all the usual bits and bobs. You can also add a Captain's Club package to the AFL membership if you're confident and want guaranteed grand finals tickets.

This is another reason for me wanting AFL membership..definitely would have gone to the Adelaide vs Bulldogs game this year if I had an AFL membership
