Still can't see the Big10 getting 2 teams unless it's a one-loss Michigan.

Winner of A penn st v Wisconsin big10 title game and a 1 loss ohio state. can both make the playoffs.

More so with a Washington St leading the pac12 as a 2 loss team

To an fcs and G5 team

Yeah, I made that comment assuming that Michigan would hold on today.

That said, Bama are safe if they win next week, but if they lose the SEC Championship, the SEC will get 2 teams.

Louisville are still hovering. It's an open race, a top 8 would be awesome this year.

I dont think Florida will get in even with a win over Bama in the SEC title game.

Florida are still only a 2 loss team with a signature win over Bama, that's a pretty similar resume to Penn St or Wisconsin winning the Big10.

They will lose to FSU in 2 weeks. and are currently unranked. Not enough time to jump into the top 4.

They might even lose to LSU nextweek.

And if they win both those 2? It could get them close to the top 10 before the SEC Championship. From memory NC were ranked 11th before last year's ACC Championship and there was discussion of them making the 4 if they beat Clemson.

Its more likely that Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin or Louisville would make it before Florida even if Florida somehow win out.

Last year North Carolina was only a 1 loss team heading into championship weekend. that 1 loss was in week 1. and were Ranked 17 for the week 12 rankings. And last year it was If Clemson lost who would get in. North Carolina, Stanford or the loser of the Big10 title game.

I just think its too much for a team to make a run this late from being unranked to making the final 4.

Even with the chaotic events today, all the teams that lost still control their own destiny. Win out, and their conference and they'll be in the playoff. It will be a different story with another loss, or if they don't win their conference title game - that is where we will see the committee making tough decisions.

Fair enough, for some reason thought NC were a 2 loss team.

Washington are still iffy, they could easily get bumped in favour of Louisville.

Ohio State are the big losers today, even after a big win.

With Michigan today losing it means that if OSU beat Michigan in 2 weeks, Penn State will be in to the Conference title game as they hold the tie breaker over OSU.

This would leave a team with 4 wins (and a close loss) against ranked team (probably top 15 teams by the end of the season) without a conference title on the outside looking in. Tough choices for the committee to leave out a team with that resume.....

Penn State finish with Rutgers and Michigan State.
