Irons from Bonnie Doon/Former Wallan captain and BnF may make the move to Kilmore as he is a Kilmore local.

Let's Hope so :thumbsu: Just started working for a local mob, sponsor and committee member.

Club could do a lot worse (and have) than enticing blokes like this to come along and meet some town folk. Far too many move to town but continue to socialise etc. elsewhere which is why as a community Kilmore these days struggles ..... that and the fact so many ex juniors travel outa town for their footy fix.

Doona you would know, who are some of the players who used to play for Kilmore who they should be chasing for them to return ?

With the dead line approaching for Lauimar and Reservoir to let the NFL know if they have the required player numbers are there any whispers on how the are going

Nothing to do with me but I wouldn't consider some of them to be honest. I'm quite certain a few are more focussed on finding reasons to "not" play for their home town than to get their hands dirty and help.

I've always said footy don't build character it reveals it, and there's been ample opportunity for many to unite and help the club out in recent times but sadly it hasn't eventuated.

There is however a handy group of youngsters who have been playing elsewhere since their junior days ceased, that's where I'd be looking. Twos footy is twos footy wherever you are, so 2pm footy is on offer should any "choose" to play regular senior footy.

Will be at Kilmore in 2017 along with a few others he will be bringing along. Almost a 100% certainty.

Music to my ears this one :thumbsu:

A couple yeh, and a couple at other NFL clubs, 3-4 of them could actually have a big say in the fortunes of the joint going forward if they wanted.

One of the boys coming with Irons could possibly be Big Brad Kite if he decides to get back into footy. I'm sure a fit 6'5 100+kg bloke would be handy. A couple of ex juniors i believe are also looking to follow Irons.
