Correct mate. Of course I have had bad days. Shocking days, lost $$$$$$, punting ie good punting involves appreciating you will incur losses and they will hurt and hurt a lot. I keep records so I know exactly where I stand. I like on this board that we can talk about wins that are not posted, similarly I like talking about the losses I have had again where I havent posted.

But yes, its bs they do that. Do you recall the punter on the punting forum that was long term loser and lost a lot? Even asked to be banned from that forum? Its guys like that I feel for. Why dont the books limit him when he is losing and losing consistently and a lot. Of course they dont, its their money cow.
Same here man , but I don't put much $$$ and it's a good idea on what you do by keeping a record.

I know who your talking about but I can't remember his name , but he should never of done that in the beginning. Splashing all that money on the horses is outrageous in my opinion.

Oh absolutely agree with this. They could be playing finals this year if they'd dealt with this with a bit more humility, but that's the wonders of hindsight.

I just think for the good of the comp, Essendon need to make their way back to par. They are a long way from that and a #1 pick is going to help, but the way some are going on about it, it is as if the #1 pick is a huge leg up which is unfair on the comp. it really isn't. No need to kick them while they are down.

They have a new Pres, new CEO, new coach, mostly new players. It's not the same club. Let em get back to being competitive. For one, they currently ruin one good game per weekend.
Every man and their dog were kicking us over Yippett and you want us to go easy on 34 cheats. Unbelievable!

They should have been kicked out of the league over what they did.

Right up there with one armed bandit cesspits having maximum payouts.

Happy to take some mugs $10 a spin but won't honour a monster win if they get lucky.

Gambling providers should be treated as a punter and cop the win some lose some outcomes.

Poker is the best punt for me, player vs player rather than games weighted in the houses favour. I do punt on footy but I am mostly shithouse so I don't think I will get restricted anytime soon

AFL coaches even in the amateur and youth level are required to undertake training every year and particularly when new issues arise. Reckon the AFL would be all over this and include a section on dealing with depression in players. It's not like the AFL don't have the resources to do this.
To think they do is absurd. Dealing with an erratic person with mental health problems as a part time football coach? You reckon there's a snowflakes chance in hell there's enough funding for that. You mustn't think much of the mental health professionals if you think every footy coach in the country can be effectively equipped on the AFL's dime.

Geez, for someone that got so offended by the Rowe's comments last week, surely they'd never use such language themselves...

It's not in the homo rainbow like all the camry colours either
Well the Camry's colours are very close to the colours of the homo rainbow

Its easy to talk about it here, but betting on horses is really a mugs way to punting. Most and I mean most horse punters lose. Far far easier to earn a few dollars at footy punting than at the horses.

A little fun fact, if you backed the Crows and only the Crows this year at the line before each game, you would be that far ahead its not funny. From memory, I think its only the Cats game which screwed Crows punters.

It's the sort of stuff they resort when they know their team is shit compared to the crows, especially after they've had a couple of massive wins over powerhouse sides like melbourne and collingwood who both played close to their worst games for the season so far.:D

Dont get me wrong, I stupidly bet on the Melb Cup most years. But I dont count that kind of one off novelty events. Mainly because of the hype and that it is the race that almost literally stops the nation.

Propaganda is in full swing.

The margin for error in Australian ratings can be as high as 10%. With China's population, 4million viewers would be well below the margin for error in their ratings. So 4million viewers (+/- 6million viewers).
I for one think it's time we applauded the Power....
Anytime that a South Australian sporting organisation dominates the local and national market (selling out venues, largest memberships, best corporate sponsorship and best overall financial results, most importantly dominates on field also)! To the extent that it has to seek new markets internationally!
very impressive!!

100% correct - and something the AFL is very successfully sweeping under the carpet.

Bottom line is our sanctions for Tippett were more significant than Essendon's for their combination of poor governance and systematic doping of players with experimental drugs. Seems fair.

Sadly the same will happen again one day. For we went away quietly, accepted our whack and stayed a strong club.

Essendon bitched and complained endlessly, did everything to argue against the AFL and then finished bottom (with a nice juicy number 1 pick as reward). Nice.
When will you people realise that -
1. Essendon self reported
2. Essendon co-operated fully
3. Essendon have apologised, shown respect and remorse
4. Essendon is an iconic big4 Melbourne football club and is required to be successful :D

I know you guys don't give two hoots but we've got Pannell umpiring our game. Looks like the AFL really wanna show he's "not that biased".
Oh boy this will be interesting. I'm going to the game I might have a chat with the bellend.

Your either in for a stellar run or going to get shafted. Probably keen to disprove his bias but it might be hard if the game gets tight.

McDonalds have only been at San Bernardino since 1940. Port Adelaide has been playing at Alberton and Adelaide Oval since 1880.

A Schnitty at Alberton is way better than a McDonalds burger anyway.
I dont get why you people cling so hard to this fiction that port power are a contigous entity with the club founded in the 19th century. You actually do have an AFL history to be reasonably proud of, you have a premiership and several winning seasons, but if youre going to claim the side that started in 1870 as the same club that plays in the AFL then the crows as an amalgam of south australian football have every right to claim a history at least that long, as well as claiming every south australian premiership ever won prior to 1992. We dont though, because we have you know, dignity and self respect.

We have an origin to be proud of and no need to rewrite our history to cover the shame of attempting to screw over our home state and abandoning our roots and attempting to kill off our 'est 1870 club', only to realise many years later that we needed them.

The history is abundantly clear, and recorded, dont try to rewrite it, just accept it. The port adelaide that plays in the SANFL is the club with the history, the port adelaide power that plays in the AFL is not.

This might be one of the few times I barrack for Port. However, this campaigner is aware of his bias being noticed and you might be lucky enough to get the ride Crows got against Saints last week, with Pannell making a concerted effort to be unbiased.
