As I said last week, the 8 weeks after Australia Day can be season defining. As clubs ramp up the competitive training, the grounds are hard and players' bodies are not match hardened then injuries will happen.

I hope that all 18 clubs are injury free come round one and I would like to beat a full strength Poort Power in round 2. So far we only have three players unlikely to be cherry ripe for round one (Jaensch, Hendo and Otten) but given the secrecy of the new Crows, we could have half the team in Ward 19.

I wish Charlie Dixon a speedy recovery however missing training time over February and March often leads to problems later in the season. I am thinking of heading over to Vanuatu until Easter so I don't hear any bad news from West Lakes :D.

With the way we're run these days, you could camp outside West lakes and not hear a thing. We're run tighter than a nuns you know what. Even better than last year

I can see things getting a little tumescent around here again. You guys. :hearts:
We are not wishing they worst to Dixon because injuries suck. And he may be back quickly anyway.

A lot of us are struck by the hubris of "the missing piece of the puzzle" etc.

Logically if the missing piece of the puzzle goes missing (both of them) then there is no puzzle. I should not be surprised the my corollary to your postulate about "the missing piece" is completely misunderstood by your hoard of bandwagoners who can't think things through properly.

It's also rather humerous that Port's social media team tried to make light of his "injury" earlier in the pre season. "Man falls down at training"

*Please note that i do not think Dixon's injury is humeorus, just that the Port social media team were poking fun at the fact he fell down. I wish Dixon a speedy recovery
