They haven't bottomed out yet. Another year like this one and we will see mid 20s regularly.
They are lucky that we have had the majority of home games to end the season.
If they did they may have had a few more low 30k crowds.

Mood is pretty low in Port Adelaide. One old guy dressed in his gear blubbering on to the shopkeeper about them being paid so much money and should do better.

Got a text from my paps last night, they were stuck behind 4 drunk Melbourne supporters at the game :D got to love having Power supporting family at times like this.

Seriously, if I was a coach, I wouldn't allow those stupid ******* beards.
Been a long time since coaches banned the use of the Screw Punt ......although from time to time we're reminded that clubs have banned their use

Coaches can't enforce drop punt kicks for goals .....with players now dribbling kicks

Coaches can't enforce use of long stop footwear to prevent players slipping

Coaches therefore no chance to enforce ....no beards / long socks / no Adelaide Coffee

That is the plan, over the next 10 years
I am surprised it hasnt happened yet. Could it be turned into a SANFL oval. Crows reserves play home games on it. Build a couple of cheap stands? Have a glenelg oval type restaurant overlooking the oval. That way it can be closed during some trainings but open to the general public during the day.

The problem with little brother is right in front of their faces and they just can't see it.

The Port Adelaide of the SANFL were repulsive and you loathed them but you couldn't help but admire the way they went about it. They oozed success, they attracted the best talent and anyone who pulled on the jumper epitomised everything that they stood for. There actually was such a thing as 'Port Adelaide Football'.

The current version of PAFC are the antithesis of everything that once great (and repugnant) club stood for. They slam the whole 'PAFC footy' 'est 1870' 'live the creed' and 'NTUA' down our throats every single opportunity they get - but they don't actually mean any of it. The things Port once stood for are now nothing more than just marketing gimmicks.

Every opportunity there is to get involved in some new trumped up marketing fluff they jump on board. The China move, the recruit, inside access to their club by AFL tv shows. Every club has to do that to an extent but they've gone so far overboard with it that it's completely diluted what they used to stand for as a club.

You didn't need to tell the PAFC players of the SANFL era what the creed was, or blare crappy music every week encouraging people to hold up their scarves because these people knew what Port football was - they embodied it. Everyone from the players, to the coaches, to the team staff and their fans.

Port got some things very wrong when they entered the AFL Space and as a result 'Port Adelaide football' is dead.

I always laugh when they call us 'the Franchise' because the way their club is run they're one of the most heavily marketed shitshows going around - they just get it wrong far more often than they get it right.

PAFC - Port Adelaide Franchise Corp - est 2007 (thanks Geelong)

I think it will have houses around it and be a community park essentially. Proceeds of $2m per SANFL club (not Port or Crows) trickle through over next 10 years

See any stupid beards at Hawthorn?

Any Hawks players wearing long sleeves?

If they want to enforce it, they can.

Think Clarkson by rumor is a hard-arse and gets what he wants ......or you don't play

Clarkson is certainly not a players man (except Hodge & Mitchell, who coach ) .......whereas other coaches who are closer to players have trouble making the tough but right decisions ......cue Hardwick
