I think it should only not count towards the salary cap if the contracts are torn up. They made a contract to pay them, either pay them or throw away the contract.

If they aren't paying them, then it shouldn't count towards their cap, if they are, then it should.

I bet they'll tolerate her just fine if she's competent.
Given she has been umpiring at lower levels for a while now, where crowds are more intimate, reckon she will be ok with what one clown in a crowd of 40,000 will say to her.

No different to anyone else umpiring.

The most vulnerable to this kind of abuse are the Goal Umpires (proximity to Cheer Squads), and there have been females in this role for a while now. Have not heard any issues.

First thing I picture is a bunch of dicks at AO yelling out oh you F$%king slut and other not so savoury terms when they feel wronged. I hope it doesn't happen but it will be setting her up for sexist abuse by putting her in a heated passionate battle of a big game. By all means put her in games where the crowds are low to begin with like a melbourne v western bulldogs or st kilda game.

A goal umpire seldom cops abuse.

She wont hear it, and I reckon anyone that yells something like that out deserves what ever security do with them.

Forget about sexism.

She is an umpire and will be abused accordingly.

What the **** is that? Are pokemons even relevant these days?
1. It's a cringeworthy article that probably belongs more in a K-zone magazine than on Ports Official website.

2. The plural form of pokemon is pokemon.

3. Yes they relevant these days, with the main games still selling millions each year or two.

I actually think she'll be pretty safe because she's a good umpire!

Granted in the SANFL you don't have rules re-imagined week to week like our great national comp which probably helps, but I think its more so that she knows her job and does it well - unlike wankers like Razor Ray and that bald git who think they're one of the stars.

You don't have to be in the leadership group to be a leader.
If he was a champion he'd be in your leadership group.
Not necessarily, some very talented people have doubts about themselves, and want to get themselves right. Let alone lead other men. Over and out.
