So we were Wright to get of him!
Well, IMO Kerridge wasn't game influencing last night .....did his part

Menzel has the potential to win games off his own boot ......so yes, trading a potential game winner for a role player is a good trade

Its called knowing fact from fiction.
Betts is the best small forward in the game. Sauce is top 3 ruck in the game. Rory Laird is one of the best small defenders. Weitering is going to be special and will be a top 2 defender in the game and one of the best No.1 draft picks in a long time.
If you call that not being a supporter then I call you a blue rinse kool aid drinker. ;)
Really think you're under selling Lever based on physical appearance ......Lever has that touch of aggression that so far has caused enormous collateral damage to team mates and opposition ......ask Laird, who seems to be Lever favourite punching bag

Any Finals team need a couple of really aggressive players ......really happy to have one in Lever

I've seen plenty of him on the field and that's all one needs to know that he's not an AFL-quality footballer.

4 touches and 2 tackles tonight again suggests I'm right. Defensive player or not, that's still woeful.
Rookie mistake, he was once a great captain for us.

Because Weitering is going to be elite, multiple AA in his career doesnt mean Lever will be a bag of potato chips. Sloane is a great player, but hes not Fyfe.

That's a fair observation ....but both players are very early in their careers ....lets make the comparison again in 5 years

Butcher - 3 touches, 1 mark, 1 goal.

The Future.
You have to wonder what guys like Ian Perrie and Ken McGregor make of all the media support Butcher gets. Both played much more solid AFL then fuchia ever has and were both slammed in the media over the journey.

I just don't get why people won't admit the truth he's a dud first round draft pick who Port have wasted heaps of money on.

Exactly for some reason he's a hard luck story.
People feel sorry for him.

So after getting home and watching the replay I have a somewhat different view to some.

I actually think thats a huge win for Richmond. With the calibre of players missing and Edwards clearly nowhere near 100%, in years gone by they'd have lost that game. Granted they were playing a VFL side but it was important for their mindset to win. That said, any other team and they'd have been flogged.

Secondly, Cripps is a monster. We (rightfully) hear how good Wines is, Dangerfield and even Crouch but this kid is in another league IMO. Weitering looked very composed, he's a bigger version of Lever I'd say.

Lastly, Kedge and Wrighty had good nights, in particular Kedge. They'll both do well this year.

Oh and Levi Casboult........ holy hell.

Interesting listening to Caro talk about the rumor of an eminent female appointment at Port Adelaide .....wheres Rucci?

Doesn't Rucci live in Adelaide and Caro in Melbourne .....how come she knows more of what's going on in Adelaide than homeboy Rucci?

Why would you want a 193cm quick & big bodied midfielder when you can have a 176cm Neale .......really don't understand the fuss over tall midfielders ......we don't have any
