Did anybody listen to Fiveaa this afternoon.

I had it on for 10 minutes in the car tonight. (I did say a while back I won't listen to Kornes but did)
Anyway they had the whole feel good Friday.
Adelaide Crows pledges 5 grand for Sam Willoughby and his recovery and said Port Adelaide ball is in your court now.

Anyway Port waited till the last possible moment to put money up (apparently they were in a meeting) I'm not sure why there was a time limit.

Anyway they have pledged a corporate box to go up for auction on Fiveaa valued at 10 to 12 grand for the year.

Now can anyone please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it right that they do not sell out their corporate boxes? Therefore they aren't foregoing any money at all?

Tell me if I'm being petty.

There are guys that use Instagram, have 'man buns' and say the word 'foodie' that don't even look remotely dorky compared to that photo of Jobe Watson in that stupid arse cap..

Why is 'feminism' written on the inside of the brim?
I have nothing to add except to say nice Immortal av.

Thought they said valued at 6 grand but being auctioned so what exactly are they handing over? Thought it was a bit piss weak. Just put your hand in your pocket, why make some poor shmuck sit through 11 games of shite in the process?

That's the thing. At first Bicks and Rowie said it was worth 5-6 Grand then someone from Port Adelaide Calls back and says actually mate try 10-12 grand. Like they are big noting themselves giving something up worth that much.

Port don't sell these out for the year though do they? Their corporate packages never sell out? It's one of their clubs big down falls in regards to profit? But the average supporter would have no idea and think wow Port doing good again showing up the crows. Stick it up em!
Am I wrong?

I just love that Danger is playing a great game in a team getting flogged. With the bullshit, and I do think it was bullshit, that him staying was about "success", I hope it dawns on him that we were a genuine crack for he flag with him in a Crows jumper. I honestly believe that had he stayed, we could have won it as midfield is our weakness.
He has chosen a Geelong team who are almost certainly on the wane, and honestly I think that with our emerging talent, we are closer than they are to achieving premiership glory.
He is such a big head, and it's a shame that the good players almost dictate their own terms and that our premiership chances are so strongly influenced by the choices of these players who believe that they are bigger than any club.
I'm no fan of the Tip Rat. But he never said it was about success. Danger did, and so I hope he never, ever achieves that.
1 year down about 5/6 to go.
Hope I don't give a shit that long personally.

Not petty. I'm surprised they didn't nominate an amount then had the AFL pay for it all like China!

Steve Johnson was a big loss for the cats. "Even stevens" with figjam for who would have been more effective?

They give them away every year as raffle prizes, I know a bloke who won one of them last year. Cost him a fortune in food and drinks, he hated it by the end of the year.
Yes that's another thing they said doesn't include food and drink.

It's like everything else that PortPower do - they use other peoples' money, then go out and spruik and spin from the rooftops about how altruistic they are - eg Community/Govt grants for all their community things, their AFL Reserves team not paying a brass razoo to play in the SANFL whilst they have used $15million from the SANFL and whereas we pay $400,000 pa to play there, the State Govt and some NGOs all providing well in excess of $1million in money and resources for their power propaganda videos and other ventures, the State Govt again and the AFL paying for their China venture, expecting others to pay for their drug cheats salaries even though and I quote Kochhead when questioned at the very start stated that "we go in with our eyes open", and the list goes on and on. They even have the temerity to beat their chests and proclaim that Milera was their Academy lol product when in fact it was Central Districts who developed him into what he was.

They're a shitstain on SA footy just as they always have been... self serving parasites

So I wonder where this leaves Geelong, was tonight their last chance for a while to make a grand final ?

Some Geelong supporters are claiming that they will apparently be better in 2017 though I am not sure how that is possible. They brought in Zac Smith, Lachie Henderson and Scott Selwood (all have been mediocre at their past clubs) all of who failed to fire a shot tonight.

They are over reliant on an old defense unit; Bartel (who's legs are clearly shot), Mackie (now a liability), Enright (looks like he's retiring), Lonergan (33 next year and was pantsed early by Buddy) and Harry Taylor (also on his last legs).

Their forward line is an issue, Hawkins is 28 going on 34, Mitch Clarke was a bust and Motlop is up for trade.

I would imagine that without an easy draw next year, they won't be finishing anywhere near top 4 in 2017.

Agree with a lot of this but I wouldn't call those 3 recruits busts.

Henderson down back played some very good footy before his injury.
Smith also in the ruck.
Selwood obviously limited given his injury.

But you are right about their ageing defence, this was a strength for them over the last 10 years now it will be a weakness. At least we won't have Enright cleaning up our entries into attack.
