Every port supporter wishes they were a crows supporter, Rucci just refuses to write an article about it.
Rucci's a bitter old troll, how the AFL Media let him walk in to after game press conferences in NRL is a joke.

I'm not too proud to admit to having a soft spot for the Crows in the Modra days, he inspired a generation of both Port and Crows to follow the game.

From what I understand Gray Day is a massive David McKay fan. He'd trade him in for Hartlett I believe

not AFL related but slightly relevant to the crows given what the club went through last year.

A really powerful moment in the MLB where the Marlins were honouring their pitcher who died on the weekend by wearing his uniform, a teammate takes the pitch from the opposite side (like fernandez did), wearing Fernandez's helmet, then hits a homerun.
Was apparently one of the best young players of all time at a similar age. AAA++++ grader

Looks like the AFL are taking over Port's push into China.

According to an article posted on their China thread it seems their "sugardaddy" will be at the GF as an AFL guest.

Could see this would happen. Port do some heavy lifting and the league would benefit. AFL select GCS who also have strong Chinese footy (Chinese sponsor) and non footy (Gold Coast real estate) ties. They will probably wear their red and yellow home jumper (it is their home game) as well.

All those resources Port wasted and the AFL will reap any reward in terms of TV right money from over there.

Pretty funny stuff.

I find it funny GCS are getting all this AFL funds and leggins to promote football on the Gold Coast and they are taking a game away. Smart??

Is there a black square flying across the screen?
I'm no expert but surely Sydney VS Western Bulldogs
Well AFL website has Swans v Dogs so assume it's based on end of minor round
Well - there you go - they changed the rule this year ...

For the record

It seems like it took the AFL a couple of goes to get the title right for Saturday's Grand Final.

When the retail edition of the AFL Record hit the shops earlier this week, the front cover listed the game as "Western Bulldogs v Sydney Swans".

Apparently the protocol has always been that the winner of what is called the first preliminary final is always listed first and that was the Doggies, even though it was the second of the preliminary finals to be played last weekend.

ESPN understands this rule was changed this year, but only after the Record went to print late on Saturday night, just a few hours after the Bulldogs won through.

The AFL decided the team that finished higher on the ladder, and in this instance, on top of the ladder, should be listed first.

So the correct assignation for Saturday's game is 'Sydney Swans v Western Bulldogs', which is how it will be appear on the match-day edition of theRecord, which will be sold at the MCG on Saturday.

So those who have already bought their retail editions are holding on to true collectors' items in more ways than one.

Apparently, the retail edition has a silver cover, while the MCG edition has a gold cover.

RIP Jose. I'm not a huge baseball fan but this gif of Fernandez is probably one of the best moments in sporting history. "Did you catch that?"

It's terrible. Dude had a wife with baby on the way and dies in a freak boating accident.
It's not that freaky when you are going full speed at 3am when it's pitch black, close to shore where there are rock groynes. When you are doing those things it becomes an expected boating accident.

Anthony Mundine wants Indigenous players to refuse to stand for the Australian National Anthem in both the NRL and AFL grand finals to protest racism. If I was a coach I wouldn't hesitate in telling any player who did that they can expect an internal ban for half the following season. Its a sport, not a god damn political fight. Mundine can shove his ideals fair up his arse cause he is a deadset wanker.

Do Australians really care about the anthem? This strategy works well in the US where everybody has a hard on for the flag and song but who really gives a shit about Advance Australia Fair?

Nice meltdown. Politics is inherently connected to sport.

How would that possibly affect you or the team? If that's their views and they're being sincere, then good on them. They're expressing their views in a way that doesn't harm anyone.

Lol someone on the port board mentioned getting pick 1 from Essendon for Hartlett.
And a first rounder for Lobbe (because they would have got one last time, you know, when Lobbe actually had trade value.)

Based on #portlogic:

Out: Lobbe, Hartlett, O'Shea
In: Pick 1, Pick 2, Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5 and a partridge in a pear tree.

Interesting that O'Shea was at the B&F. Maybe he had already moved back to Melbourne and they wanted to save on the airfare

If the indigenous players don't want to stand for the national anthem then they can **** off back to their own country...
