Remember we used to do this desperation stuff  .......now who was talking getting Barlow should be ashamed of themselves

Maybe I'm in the minority but I wouldn't mind Barlow on the cheap.

LOL at Port thinking of rookie listing Brett Eddy, I follow the SANFL and he is a good player BUT that is against SANFL defenders, I very highly doubt he would be able to do the same with quality AFL defenders. Now Port want their own Eddy haha, he'll play a year or two in their reserves get delisted and then return to South Adelaide. Also isn't it funny this guy Mason Shaw that they delisted last year kicked 50+ goals in the WAFL this year and couldn't even get near that unders Port's system.

I have no particular antipathy to the China concept.

Having said that, you'd think come May there's a decent chance a Gold Coast v Port game will be about who is going to come 13th or 14th. Hardly the ideal spectacle for the game.

I don't understand the reaction here. If they're hoping to rookie him then that would be a fairly sensible punt. The rookie list is there for a reason.

The best bit of the whole thing is that by playing Gold Coast, Port will lose any benefit they think they will get from the exposure.
Chinese interest are not in Pt Adelaide - but they have plenty of interest in the Gold Coast!!
Nice of Port to help GC out though...

It will do nothing for Port or the Gold Coast. If the gold coast wanted to do something to generate tourism to the GC they would get a Chinese team to play games on the gold coast, not the other way around. All this game will do is sell china to port supporters and gold coast's supporter. When the NFL or NBA play games in china, it's because the Chinese tourist department has paid for them to come over. When the AFL goes, the AFL and to a lesser extent, Port pays for it. It's why the state pays for Liverpool to come to Adelaide, because their millions of fans back in the UK will see the game, they see the players and team posting on social media about the various tourist attractions that they visited and get sold the location as a destination.
