Putting aside whether Hartlett was involved or not, he was always going to be traded. They know they can't have both Boak and Hartlett at the club together and they're not gonna trade their captain so there's only one choice really. Hopefully Gold Coast don't take the bait though, Hartlett shouldn't be worth much in trade currency.

Port are assy enough to pull it off. If I were GC I'd tell them I'd give them back their second rounder and they can take it or leave it.

It would be so funny on so many levels if the puffers get pick 6 for hartlett lol ... if i were them id think again about getting an injury prone player

Port would want to pull this trade off but I don't see that they have any hand at all. They've told a guy with 4 years to run they want to trade him. That means they want to get rid of him. If they can't come up with a trade they'll keep a player they have told they don't want.

If the rumours are true and there is a conflict, how bad will it be if he now stays?

I would go for Hartlett. I reckon he's the type of player that would want to shove it right up Port and what better way than doing it at their arch enemy.

We also could get Hartlett very cheap too, they dont want him but they need to get rid of him, he holds all the cards to stay or go too.

Tbh our Club should be all over him and get him for unders.
