Funny. Three years ago, Mayne was a dead eye with his set shots. His efforts and skills meant that he was very useful.
Admittedly when he first started he wasn't as accurate, but you are trying to rewrite history if you are arguing that those three players were part of
ImperialPurple 's dumb arse brigade.
Same with Suban. He was praised as a long kick and an agrressive young mid. Future captain material; at least until we saw him sweating at his first interview. He was the shiny new that replaced the dumb arse brigade. He should be in the gun now, but the knock on Suban has been his low disposal count, not what he does with the ball.
Ironically, Suban was actually able to get the ball in the last quarter last week, for a negative result. I wonder if anything different would have happened if a Suns player was able to get the ball instead.
De Boer was different. He was touted as at least a top ten pick as a youngster, but didn't nominate in his draft year. The next year, he was monitored much more carefully in the WAFL, and his poor disposal was clearly noticed, which is why Fremantle got him as a rookie. His disposal in his first few games was terrible (Grey - like!), especially in front of goals, but that has improved over time to the point where he is nowhere near as bad as many posters like to think. Even on Saturday I can remember only one bad disposal, which is no worse than anyone else, and certainly not as fatal as Suban's efforts in the last.
But again, way too late for the dumb arse brigade.
Tldr;
Scham is making shit up!
