Aw you guys get the good game?

I wonder what the record is for blood rules in a game. Dogs v Blues is starting to look like a war zone

No, Blues/WB on FTA here too. I can understand why they'd do it in Vic but ****ing WA too!? Watching on a shitty stream and enjoying it :thumbsu:

These umpires cant be serious this week seen a few kicks including the one betts just got and thought all of them travelled at least 15m

It's driving me friggin nuts. I would say that a good 80%, probably more, of kicks that have been called less than 15 are probably closer to 20 meters in the games I've watched. They have NFI.

I always use the goals square as a guide, that's 9 meters long, so roughly 1.5 of those. I recall one form last weeks game , I reckon it went close to 25 meters; it was close to half the distance of the 50m ark called play on!!!! They're obviously been instructed to lean towards the 'play on'* but all its doing is making it more inconsistent.

* Unless you're playing for the Hawks, in which case you can hand pass it and it's a mark.

It actually is Victoria's fault. If it's a neutral state game, they'll already have rights to a Vic match, so that'll be shown.

If you are a footy nut you just got to have Fox.
I wish. I can't get it at my apartment. And the stupid online Foxtel Play or whatever it is doesn't have Fox Footy

Maybe they should name this site BigUmpiring for the time being.

And because the umps are playing it so inconsistently, and some of them are so clearly longer than 15m, the players are all stopping expecting a mark. It just looks stupid calling it play on - just like the couple in Hawk's F50 earlier on today

Come Monday Gillon in a polo jumper and slightly corduroy jacket will declare it was an area of intense focus for Rnd 4 and while some decisions may have confused 54 Umpiring metres with 3 real life metres,it's what makes our great game electrically unpredictable and speaks to our larrikin culture.

Uber Fuhrer Mccloughlan declared 'Next week we'll instruct the umps to ensure the holding/dropping the ball rules are unrecognisable.'

Did I hear that right, 27k for the Dogs v Carlton? Really small crowd for 2 Melbourne teams

Dogs never get over 30 000 at etihad unless they play hawks or Richmond there

Carlton home game though, and despite being pretty crappy, they still have 35-40k members odd (that's based on last years numbers off memory?) .. though I'm not sure how that translates to Etihad. Add on Doggies recent success especially at that ground, surprised they wouldn't get closer to 35K for that sort of game.
