... and I'm sure the Turkish felt great significance and pride at both national anthems and God Save the Queen being played this morning at Gallipoli. More than just us mate.
I'm sure that there would have been more Australians at Gallipoli this morning than there were NZ'ers at the MCG. I do see your point though.

Long list of long contracts there. Can breed complacency. Scary that they're also near on 100% of the cap too.
****! Some good names on their but it's got a touch of the Carlton's about it. Most of the list being in that sweet 24-27 age range yet not being able to deliver.

I think not having Ryder and Monfries is a major change to the structure. Imagine taking say, one of our rucks and a very good forward out, then replace them with kids who aren't ready or have the skills.

You could compare us last year on that point.

Haven't read the Hawks board, but there were some Hawks fans in the gameday thread on the main board suggesting Dangerfield and Selwood were soft because they were talking to Scott at quarter-time while the rest of the team were boxing on.
Lordy, started reading through more intensively. Love seeing the likes from Vinum, SJ and LunchLadyDoris to all the melty posts.

I've been here long enough that I know the clubs of many posters but for others there's no need to guess. Hawk without a doubt :D

I love how much they hate Selwood. Delicious tears.

Personally don't have much of an issue with them. Couple need a rocket but generally they are better players they would want to be holding on to. Everyone else is the problem.

Don't really buy that - Ryder wasn't there in 2014 and Monfries is a 30 year-old small forward who averages a goal a game. If your team crumbles when those two players are out... well you're ******. Simply - they have quite a few deficiencies. They lack power key position players - like real big blokes especially down back and are very small around the ball. The limited interchange means that football will go back more to contested play and longer styles of play.

the near 100% cap is a major problem, those lesser lights are going to be on less of the cap. For what's appearing to be a midtable squad they have not as much flexibility as you'd like.

Yep gasped when I heard that. Perhaps they are responsible for overrating themselves a bit. Outside of that list they have some very ordinary players who are obviously getting way too much.

If I couldn't stand watching it live on Fox Footy, I don't think a you tube channel will improve it. Gerard & Robbo just annoy me too much with their pointless raving on about crap. But I'm sure others will like the link anyway.
Mate that stuff is gold for anyone who is OS or North of the Murray who lives on a forced diet of wog ball, league and union. My nomination for post of the year, I couldn't get it into favorites quick enough. As they say one mans trash is another mans gold.
If there's other stuff out there please post a link or pm me if you think it might contravene some crap law or rules of this board.
