Just heading up to my grandparents house on the hill to watch the sunset over the waves with a few champaz and a cheeseboard.

Could throw a stone into the waves from the balcony, loving life.

Sorry guys was at the gym. I hit Pull for those wondering.

Pick 15 (Adelaide): Bryce G- ... Daniel Venables

To be fair the Crows midfield is already stacked with quality. Could put an argument out they're well on their way to their next flag and don't need anymore star midfielders.

However because it's such a good list it's fair to have a punt on who could potentially be one of the better players in this draft... warranted he develops as planned.

Port Adelaide

Pick #: 16 - Jarrod Berry

Port were happy to downgrade their first pick to this spot in the hope they would still get their man. I think that man could well be Jarrod Berry. He has had his injury concerns over the past 2 seasons and as such hasn't been able to show his wares to extent he would like to but when he has been on the park he has shown to be a huge talent. He is a resilient, professional, athletic footballer with reportedly excellent leadership skills (he seems to captain every team he plays in). With 4 fairly high selections Port have chosen a "best available" at this selection.

Pick 17 (Brisbane) - Griffin Logue
Height: 194cm Weight: 92kg
Position: Key defender

Just like last time we're gonna lock in the athletic big man from Western Australia and best key-defender of the draft.

Port Adelaide

Pick #: 18 - Todd Marshall

After taking a defender/midfielder with the first selection, I couldn't look past Marshall with this selection. Very athletic 198cm Key position prospect who is a beautiful kick of the footy. He didn't come on in the back end of the season as some may have hoped and is still pretty raw, but worthy of a selection at this spot. Port have traded away next years first pick and have a genuine need for a quality KPF and I was happy he was still available with this selection

Pick 19 Western Bulldogs - Sam Powell-Pepper

Utility - East Perth/Western Australia
08/01/98 186CM 83KG
Player Comparison: Currently, somewhere between Dustin Martin & Tom Bell

Profile:

SPP has played for the AFL Academy, East Perth and WA showing glimpses of his talent.

For East Perth, Powell-Pepper had the most impact in the Colts and Reserves, where most oppositions couldn’t contain his powerful nature through the midfield. He found plenty of the ball, hit the scoreboard and brought his physicality, which seemed to intimidate opposition players. He was elevated to League and didn't look out of place.

For WA, he rotated across half forward and through the midfield. Whilst his possessions were low, his attack on the ball was outstanding.

Strengths:

Size
Speed & Endurance
Evasive
Versatile
Aggressive

Weaknesses:

Kicking ( Solid over longer distances)
Concentration

Rational:

Best available. SPP can turn a game off his own boot, has serious X-Factor. His attack on the ball and the opposition is outstanding. Breaks defensive lines with his side-step, speed and long kicking.

Considerations

Simpkin, Battle

Blue and Silver

PICK 21 - ESSENDON - Shai Bolton - South Fremantle - 178cm/68kg

I think Bolton provides that Eddie Betts role which this team lacks. A team with a history of trying this type of player I think this kid has x-factor and Woosha would like his all or nothing attitude.

Chasing, you have smashed it for Brisbane. 3 A-Grade Vic Country kids(which they love, and have just appointed last years Vic Country coach as one of their assistants)...and Griffin Logue.

Pick 24 (St Kilda) - Jordan Gallucci

It just had to be that all of SPP, Rotham, Bolton and Simpkin were taken in quick succession prior to this pick....:)

I like what St Kilda are doing but feel they need more speed and athleticism through the midfield.

With that in mind I'm taking Gallucci here as someone who offers both, in spades. Kicking needs work from all reports but other than that seems someone who could really be a nice addition to their midfield group...and just quietly is someone I'd be happy to see in navy blue in a few weeks time.
