Pick 65 (GWS) - Quinton Narkle
Height: 181cm Weight: 82kg
Club: Perth Demons

Could be a very special player. As a stoppage player his speed, roving and long kicking adds a point of difference to the Giants future midfield. As a top-aged player he should be able to make an impact early on, potentially rotating between half-forward and the midfield.

Pick 67 (GWS) - Tyson Stengle
Height: 171cm Weight: 69kg
Club: Woodville West-Torrens Eagles

An area that GWS probably lack depth in comparatively to other positions is small forwards - in particular quick, crumbing players. Stengle has great goal sense, pace and weights his kicks beautifully. He also manages to stay composed and keep his feet, ensuring that he is able to stay in the contest and at least lay tackles and put pressure on the opposition.

TW picks Josh Begley @ 64

Blugazi

At Pick 64, Geelong choose the big assed Tom Rockliff...um, i mean the big assed Stew Crameri...um, i mean the big assed Josh Begley.

Started the year at 105 kilo's and 80 on skinfolds kicking 2 bags of 6 in suburban senior footy. Quickly ushered into the TAC Cup, he booted 6 and 5 the first two weeks there too.

Since then he really knuckled down and reduced his weight to 92kg and his skinfolds to 55(which is apparently AFL condition) and played the 2nd half of the year through the midfield and forward, performing well.

This fella, if he remains dedicated , is a big talent. Uses his backside smartly when one out and has power away from, and through a contest. And he is a natural scoreboard hitter.

Tested well at the Combine too, which would have been unexpected of him 6 months ago.

If he gets this deep in the draft he is a no brainer speculative pick. Even at half this range of #64, he would be tempting as a high reward possibility.

EDIT: Ari Sakeson.

Good replacement for a Simon White type. Liked him in the TAC Cup and thought he would be higher rated, took me a while to find out who he was after he caught my eye.
gandaal takes Brodie Romensky

TerryWallet now with two picks

With the next 2 picks for Geelong:

Sam Fisher - Goalkicking small forward. You can do worse than picking one of those at this range.

and

Bailey Morrish - Was going to take Jack Henry here, but Morrish gives me a double up, along with Tom Williamson, to address an area of good quality medium defender/potential wingman that i think Geelong need.

NORTH MELBOURNE:

13: Oliver Florent
33: Brandon Parfitt
34: Patrick Kerr
81. Hisham Kerbatieh

North got some of what they wanted but not a particularly great draft for them.
Maybe too much risk vs reward here, and on reflection the North recruiters could have done better..........:$

GEELONG

24. Josh Battle
38. Tom Williamson
42. Elliot Himmelburg
64. Josh Begley
72. Sam Fisher
74. Bailey Morrish

Happy with my lot here. I got the picks that i wanted as the draft panned out. The one i missed out on was Kobe Mutch who i hoped would slip to 42 but went late 30's. He was the mid that i thought would suit Geelong.

Well done jimmae.

COLLINGWOOD

29. Jordan Ridley
47. Myles Poholke
50. Callum Brown (F/S)
54. Josh Daicos (F/S)
63. Kym Lebois

No early picks given the Treloar deal from last year. Brought in Wells, Hoskin-Elliot & Mayne in trade period so went for kids. Two F/S were a no brainer at those picks. Ridley is a taller type which they lack. Huge upside in this kid. Poholke is a tough midfielder & my feel is Lebois could play early and is lively. Lots of run so they should be happy with those selections. ;)

PS. Well done and thanks Jimmae for all your hard work. Lots of fun
