West Coast
Then I'm also happy to additionally take Hawthorn if no one wants them. Just as happy to have the original order maintained, but again I am happy to take a team like Melbourne or Hawthorn off someone's hands if they don't like the idea of a first pick being in the 40s or 80s.
Can we do this after the 10th? That will be the second day of the 2nd DFA period, so it gives us a better idea of list sizes and maximum picks.

As was the case last time around, I'm happy to step in to fill the gaps.
We should be starting pronto, waiting for this date just seems silly to me. Do we really need to postpone things so people will (MAYBE) have a better idea about whether or not they will use pick 115?
Solid rumours in the media about who is taking who will start by then, we should be doing this before Twomey and Quayle get better info.

I'm just stalling for time for more footage.
Hey mate, I know Jim wants to wait a bit for some more vids but Twomey has already said there will be a lot less this year, next week will be 2 days of SPS, no vids on the weekend, we are waiting around for a few extra vids but we should start soon.
I think a date and time should be set, we have Arrow and TerryWallet pretty keen and many who haven't responded.
I have enjoyed reading the posts in this thread and am more than impressed by the knowledge displayed....you all astound me.
A suggestion: if participants aren't totally against the idea I for one would like to see the same people do the next phantom draft and keep the same teams. It would be interesting to see how many changes come about because of what trades transpired during the trade period.
Regardless I know I will enjoy reading the second run at this whatever the format and selection of participants/teams.

For the sake of fairness, here's how it's going to work:
Please reply to this post whether you wish to keep your existing team, withdraw from the phantom draft, or change teams.
If you wish to change teams, you will go into a ballot, where I will draw for each spot running from highest to lowest in terms of the quality of each team's picks. You can then veto your drawing the once (but you probably won't want to).
I figure everyone's going to scramble for the same 3 or 4 teams, so we might as well take that out of your hands and get on with things.
You have 24 hours to decide, and I will accept changes until 7 PM tomorrow night, at which point, I will lock everyone into their choice and we will draw for the available teams.
If you do not respond by 7 PM AEDT on the 8th of November, I will drop you from the phantom, so we can have a speedy and fun draft for all other participants.
