Ditto. Sin City was keen on Simpkin and I'm more than happy with Logue.

18 - Clarke
19 - Simpkin
20 - Logue

Gallucci still available?

Right. Is there a time limit I should know about?

My phone died while out and I slept in late.
Nothing concrete B&S, it's just you had said you'd be on in the morning, after turning in for the night before and then it got to 1pm (WA) 3pm over East, and I thought we'd move on a bit. Especially over the weekend when more people are online it's best to try and keep it moving. But there will be much more time on weekdays.

GCS have two picks in succession here and no bid on Scheer is a huge steal. In the actual thing, GC may just take Scheer at one of these points, to avoid the rigamarole. But I won't be doing that, I'll be pouncing on you for giving me this opportunity.

With Pick #21 I select Jy Simpkin

Jy Simpkin is a talented half forward. The kid has his head on straight and is very down to earth from the interviews I've seen. This combined with the pressure of having to come back from a broken leg has given him more perspective than some of the other draftees with bigger heads. This is why I believe he will be a good fit for the Gold Coast Suns.

Jy Simpkin (VIC)
Position:
General forward
Height, weight: 182cm, 72kg
Recruited from: Murray Bushrangers
Plays like: Jimmy Toumpas
Projected draft range: first round to second round
Rated last month: 24
Rationale behind ranking/change of ranking: Not applicable. Likely to miss remainder of season with broken leg.
Strengths:
- Lowers eyes and demonstrates excellent vision and ability to hit inside 50m targets
- Composed with ball in hand
- Precision kick to target
- Finishes well from general play
- Provides heavy scoreboard impact
- Acceleration
Weaknesses:
- Contested-ball winning
- Scope to play through midfield unclear

With Pick #22 I select Joshua Rotham

Josh Rotham was pegged as a mere KPD by some, but his running and athleticism has shown an extra dimension to his AFL game. At 192cm and with excellent rebounding capabilities I see Rotham as one of the steals of the draft. With the potential to be anything, he can fill a role in GC's back 6 as a tall, strong medium defender. I think he would quicky take over the position of individuals like Trent McKenzie and be a better replacement for the delisted Seb Tape. Whilst he will start as a 3rd or 4th Defender, his potential to become an exciting wingman and possibly move into the midfield is something that really made me jump on him here.

Josh Rotham (WA)
Best position
: General defence
Height, weight: 192cm, 79kg
Recruited from: West Perth
Plays like: Matthew Broadbent
Projected draft range: first round to second round
Rated last month: 26
Rationale behind ranking/change of ranking: A lack of a clear best position is what sees Rotham placed here.
Strengths:
- Athleticism
- Linebreaker
- Acceleration
- Aerial marking
- Intercept marking
Weaknesses:
- One-on-one strength
- Ability to negate opponents influence
- Unclear best position
- Unclear ability to play midfield or forward
- Sometimes inconsistent kick

Got yourself a gem there. Would've come very close to picking him if the Bombers didn't already pick Francis last year.

I'm a bit annoyed people didn't keep Gold Coast honest because I was hoping for a larger choice of pure mids.

There's still some very promising players available and their highlights package would have supporters in full bandwagon hype mode but the guy I'll select is one that I think has the tools that'll best translate to AFL.

Carlton selects Willem Drew.

He's 188cm and a predominantly inside midfield that can also trouble the opposition forward. Not for any particular reason like an athletic leap but he just wills himself to win a contest more than the guy next to him. Has great contested possession and tackle numbers which sets him apart in my mind from other similar mids available.

Think a less fumbly better skilled Kerridge. Think he'd be a solid addition to our midfield, the other guys available I'm not sold on whether they'd flourish with us yet.

No more matches... We'll take Jarrod Berry.

Jarrod Berry

Club: North Ballarat Rebels/Vic Country

Position: General defender

Size: 191cm, 80kg

DOB: 05/02/1998

Plays like: Corey Enright

The boy from Horsham excelled during last year’s carnival, winning All-Australian honours on a half-back flank after impressing as an intercept defender. According toChampion Data, Berry gained 314 metres per game and finished with an above average kick rating of +9.9%. Not only is he a brilliant intercept player, he can also provide hard run and drive off half-back, while his unique size and toughness means he can play on a variety of opposition forwards. A shoulder injury meant he missed out on the 2015 TAC Cup finals series, so he’ll want to hit the ground running in 2016.

I think Adelaide have already taken him, Wickzki

Woops. My bad. Sorry guys.

Jonty Scharenberg?

From Knightmare.

23. Jonty Scharenberg (SA)
Best position:
Inside midfield
Height, weight: 185cm, 79kg
Recruited from: Glenelg
Plays like: Dominic Sheed
Projected draft range: first round to second round
Rated last month: 17
Rationale behind ranking/change of ranking: Scharenberg has largely continued doing what he has been doing this season. His fall is due to the rise of some others.
Strengths:
- Production
- Precise footskills
- Vision
- Decision-making
- Quick, clean hands
- Contested-ball winning
- Wins first possession at stoppages
- Can get rid of ball when tackled by keeping arms high
- Stoppage work
- Tackling ability
- Finishing around goal
Weaknesses:
- Pace
- Athleticism
- Versatility
- Lack of an X-factor
