Bolton was needed by North but seems we missed out by a whisker.
Going to take a chance here as I liked the way this guy moved around the ground and North need someone like him to create.
Looked hard at Oliver Florent & Zac Fisher, but going to throw caution into the wind as we don't need any more meat & potatoes.....

North Melbourne: Pick #30

Jamie Hampton

Won't do the talking, so:

You're up Jimmae

Wow. I would have taken Sproule.
So would GWS I suspect.

Zach Sproule
198 cms, 84 kgs, GWS/Murray Bushrangers

Sproule has flown under the radar a little after kicking 16 in 8 in last year's TAC competition, mostly due to him playing further away from goals or in defence to allow the less versatile Marshall and over-age (yet possibly still GWS eligible) Tizani.

Tall, athletic and an excellent kicking action for both goal and general disposal, there are shades of Tom Lynch in his athleticism and approach to football. His style will particularly thrive alongside Jeremy Cameron, provided he continues to develop his fitness once in AFL environment, which seems a no-brainer given his work ethic in matches.

It's worth doing a 3rd round, still plenty of kids available
Just that we havent been doing Academy changes for them, so it would be out of whack.

What we're going to do is have everyone post their - "just missed the cut" and chat and learn about players

The best part about the exercise is learning from each other I think.

Don't know much about the kids available at this pick.

Purely picking by needs for the Bulldogs here. We've taken Collins as a KPD in the previous draft, we'd like another medium defender with Bob Murphy retiring very soon.

Pick 31. Alex Witherden, 186cm, 80kg.

Having sustained a broken leg this year, there is some upside that could be realised with development. And with the Bulldogs fairly well stocked in defence for now, there is certainly ample time.

KM describes Alex as having a penetrating kick, good vision, composure, decision making and intercept marking ability.

Edit: Having done a little article reading, Alex has played through the middle in juniors, so there is also scope to... push into the midfield.

Hawks have already taken Witherden, try again blue_boyz14

Lots to work with apparently, but those clips didn't exactly knock me over.

I'm not hugely across this next tier of draftees, but I sifted through about 15 names and 4 stood out to me. He was the top of that four because of his mobility, contested marking ability and his skills.

Footy IQ and work rate seem to be high quality as well, so I'd be surprised if he makes it this far in the draft actual.

Pick 33 (GWS) - Jeremy Goddard
Height: 202cm
Weight: 95kg
From: Claremont

Using this pick to bolster the draft stocks - in preparation for Lobb's departure and Mumford being over 30. In comparison to English who was picked up earlier in the draft, Goddard is a much more physical player who has proven the ability to dominate hitouts.

Pick 34 - Zac Fisher

This pick was in inspired by one Caleb Daniel. He doesn't fit a specific need for us, but he's an exciting prospect and we reckon he'll fit in nicely at the Hawks.

Fisher was best on ground for Western Australia vs Allies in July. Somehow at 175cm and 61 kg, he's a contested beast. He recently fell into Knightmare's top 30 for the first time.

---

Knightmare:

Strengths:
- Production
- Stoppage work
- Ability to win first possession at stoppages
- Contested-ball winning ability
- Tackling
- Clean hands
- Precise footskills
- Vision
- Decision-making ability
- Acceleration
- Agility
- Evasiveness

Weaknesses:
- Size by position
