GCS actually have pick #8, Zee, does that change anything?
For the purpose of this two-round draft, no.

In a proper hypothetical, it would probably move their pick in the 4th round up a bit (assuming they had freed up enough list space vs. draft picks), with their old pick being deleted under the new rules.

Sorry guys, I didn't realise we were doing this now.

Port bid on Will Setterfield (GWS academy).

Pick 9 (1,469 points)
Minus 20% discount
= 1,175 points

GWS pick 15 (1,112 points)

Not sure how it works from there, I guess if they match the bid their next pick will move back 1 spot?

Yup, 15 to the back of the order, next pick slides down 1.

Are you tracking this stuff FlowersByIrene? Because as the order shifts, the nature of the bids shift too.

GWS match the bid.

Pick 9 (GWS) – Will Setterfield
Height: 190cm
Weight: 80kg
DOB: 05/02/98
From: Sandringham Dragons

Another academy jet who will develop into a JPK/Cripps-esque inside mid. Great decision-maker with good skills.

ParapMarkets your turn again.

Draft is up to date, St Kilda and No1Suspect up next.

Pick 11 (StKilda)

Jack Scrimshaw
193cm HBF/MID

Scrimshaw is putting together a nice finish to the year, a classy left foot user off half back who has gradually been given extended minutes through the midfield. Slows time when he gets it, good in traffic doesn't panic and often makes the right choice. There was 1 other I was tossing up here but Jack gets the nod just because he can also play back where I feel StKilda are lacking slightly.

Next up is HARKER

North Melbourne: Pick #12

Tim Taranto

There may be some better players here but I feel the fit is just right for North.
North are going to need more goal-kickers going forward and Tim may just have the right tricks to start forward and develop.
There were a couple of backs that may have been appealing but given the depth that's already there with the young guys, it's forwards first.

There were also some mids but not so many line-breakers, so welcome Tim.

Jimmae You are the man.

Great minds think alike Harks... He was my coin toss.... Saints need someone with wheels to help Steven out.... But their forward line is pretty good with Billings and Gresham so I chose Scrimshaw.

Great choice mate

Blugazi FlowersByIrene

Perryman bid
Mutch bid
Scheer bid
Macreadie bid
Hollld up big boy, gotta see if everyone is matched. i think you find Macreadie might not be matched by Blugazi, and i dunno if i'm feeling Scheer at this point.

We'll wait for Blugazi to match Perryman and go from there.

Pick 14 - Kobe Mutch
184 cms, 82 kgs, via GWS Academy/Bendigo

Inside mid with more than enough of an outside game to impose himself early on at AFL level, with the added benefit of the impact of GWS' much vaunted academy system.

Highly productive midfielder who supposedly lacks x-factor, but that seems to be more of a knock on the fact that he just keeps doing the right things when offered. Not elite at anything beyond his clearance work, but don't let the simplicity of that statement fool you: he does most things at or above an AFL standard.

Exactly what the Eagles need with Priddis getting long in the tooth and their midfield lacking some bite, and also excellent value at the pick.

Another year goes by, and these academy kids are going to go under the radar and the GWS talent farm continues. Boggles the mind.

Pick 15 - WBD - Josh Battle.

With Tom Boyd ideally developing into the #1 key forward, Bulldogs will probably be looking to bolster the remainder of their offence. Battle projects to be a solid 3rd tall, with the endurance to perhaps push into the midfield.

Liking a couple of the mids available here, but as picking for Adelaide who are lacking for very little....
JARROD BERRY
Was locked in to top 10 preseason, but fell from favour with quiet Championships off the back of some injury issues.
Noted leader and consummate defender who, of late, in TAC Cup, has performed admirably through the midfield and
gone forward and hit the scoreboard.
While well drilled, Adelaide seem a little light on in the leadership area. With few gaps, a 191cm utility with notable
leadership credentials offers a wonderful option
