WCE Review:
Kobe Mutch
Zach Sproule
Joe Atley
GWS' bidding process made this a dream run for West Coast, who got to address needs while getting great value at each pick (in their opinion). Mutch and Atley provide great ball-winning ability on the inside in combination with a propensity to run all day and provide great value on the outside with their bodywork, decision making, clean hands, skills and willingness to push forward and back to support the team.
Sproule offers a chance to renew the key forward stocks, as well as the intelligence to switch to defence and do his job for the team if called upon. He has no pressure to develop too quickly with a mature and functioning WCE forward line, but is a good chance to partner well with Kennedy within 2 seasons.
In terms of players that were screaming out to be picked after Atley, not sure there really was anyone.
