The only justification I can see behind having Brodie fall to 14 is because of the CD rankings last week. Unless he's told clubs he loves hookers, cocaine and domestic violence, I can't see any conceivable reason why he would drop that far.

What's the knock on Graham?

treacle slow, ordinary skills, questionable scope for improvement. He could become the next Sam Mitchell, but at this point he looks more Anthony Banik.

Genuinely pissed myself laughing.

Maybe he's told a few porky pies because he really wants to slide to Ports! :p

Knightmare's latest Phantom Draft on ESPN

Pick 14: Will Brodie
Pick 17: Jy Simpkin
Pick 30: Jack Graham
Pick 31: Kobe Mutch
A Brodie / Simpkin start to the draft would be pretty darn special.

And judging from that Phantom, Clarke and Drew would still be available at picks 30 and 31.

Brodie, Simpkin, Drew, Clarke - now that would be a boost to our midfield.

Just re-watched the u18 All Stars game.
If we are into Battle, I get it.
Works hard, tackles hard, goal hungry, good kick for goal, strong mark, footy smart.
I was initially right into him but got really put off by his combine results. I'm back on board the Battle train.
Strong mark or clean mark

As much as we need a tall forward, we could potentially get someone like Esava Ratugolea with our fifth pick, which should be ~65-75, roughly

Twomey rated Brodie as 4th best talent in his October top 30 ranking. How does he fall to 14?
I just watched his Carnival highlights. I shouldn't have. I won't be able to sleep tonight. His all-round midfield talent looks frighteningly good. His kicking style is a tiny bit awkward but effective enough for the role he plays. His handball is excellent, ball hunting, second efforts, strong overhead marking, even his acceleration from clearance.

It was cruel to have his name linked to us. There is no way he could be passed on for the players Knightmare had drafted from pick 9-13.

It would be akin to us taking Wines because Melbourne went for Toumpas.

The lad is an absolute gun.

Knightmare himself rates him at 3.

In theory it could happen. If hes told Gold Coast he wont go there then thats 4 picks out the way. He's not going top 3 so thats 7 picks out the way. The remaining picks:

Carlton - I'd still expect he will go here. If he doesn't it may well open up.
Freo - Have locals in SPS, Logue & English to pick from.
Sydney - Doubt Brodie would be first option given their side is stacked with inside mids as it is
North - Another big chance but would assume they'd be after some outside run as opposed to an inside mid
West Coast - Could go here. Would be the big worry.
Adelaide - They've got Dean Gore so have no need for him.

Port Adelaide - happy days!

From what i've heard Gold Coast are well keen on Taranto with pick 4 if th ey don't get forced into a Bowes bid. If that happens then i'd assume Carlton would be welcoming Brodie.
