Quigley has produced his power rankings. If you have nothing to do before next Friday (including sleep) you can probably get through everything he's written but the highlight for me was Brandon Parfitt at 10.
I've wanted to really like Parfitt- spent time at Alberton, ball winning inside mid, very highly rated last year, did well again for NT this year but, according to Quigley, played out of position by Kennelly for Allies and All Stars.
Could he be the one we were confident would still be there at 14? Is he yet another example of the annual BF Groupthink underestimating (and overestimating) certain players?
Since it gave us a chance to complain about something that probably won't happen.Since when did Brodie become the be all and end all key to the entire existence of the universe?

Far too much sensibility in this post. From the games and highlights I've seen of Brodie, I think he is almost unquestionably an AFL talent. But there's no reason we couldn't pick up a better player or combination of players with the selections we have.
Has there ever been another draft where there are so many desirable combinations of players for us?
I keep changing my mind every 24h. Hope Geoff Parker doesn't suffer from the same malleability of preference.
In an ideal world if I could control realistically the recruiting of other clubs, my Nov 19 preference is:
1. SPP at 14
2. Gallucci at 19 - another who's warmed on me the more I read and watch about him.
3. Drew at 30
4. Battle at 31, although Mutch would be a very close alternative
5. Use pick 85 if there's someone we rated but slid through
6. Barrett with our PSD or first rookie pick
7. Mason Shaw with a rookie pick
8. Brett Eddy with a rookie pick
Shaw and Eddy more likely if we don't take the four mids with our first four picks.
Probably midfielder overkill, but in time it has a domino effect allowing Robbie to play forward more.
I'll have my updated version on Nov 20.
Why the Mason Shaw love?
What has changed in his ability or attitude over 12 months?

I think what is getting left out of the discussion is the massive difference in pick 31 and 49
People are desperate. We have Dixon and Horton's Whoville in the forward line heading into a draft that is light on KPF talent.
This and the fact that we don't have a 2017 first rounder are the two things that are constantly being left out.
Don't want Parfitt. He may turn out to be a good player elsewhere but he absolutely doesn't fill a need for us.
That was a different trade
I've wondered about this. Total speculation: when do academy picks come online for us/do we have one up our sleeve next year? Else is someone leaving?People are desperate. We have Dixon and Horton's Whoville in the forward line heading into a draft that is light on KPF talent.

Well endurance will come becoming a full time afl footballer and if Voss does his job Venables has the traits to become a A grade goal kicking midfielderVenables love is interesting. Then his coach comes out and says needs to improve "endurance. Ball winning. Midfield craft ". Nothing here to alwviate my fears
Hip surgery worries me a bit14 Venables
17 Simpkin/Florent if gone Gallucci
30 Drew/Atley
31Ryan
Venables now tops my list broke his leg in 2015 and had hip surgery so to show what he did in 2016 is very impressive. A Afl pre season under his belt i can see him playing a role 2017 and has a huge upside in the future
Hip surgery worries me a bit

And ButcherI agree just ask toump when he finishes of course![]()
Nothing major i remember Pendlebury Swan having hip ops couple yrs ago didn't slow them down Toumpas and Butcher cant blame hip surgery for being average playersAnd Butcher[/QUOTE
Taking him as our last rookie wouldn't be love. Why the Mason Shaw love?

Thanks for this.Ok here goes. Draft rankings. Not an indication of where I think they go or where I would pick them. I am fully aware I have players on this list higher and lower than they would be rated by afl clubs.
