SA right up there with QLD when it comes to developing top end draft talent.Powell-Pepper not on the list of invites to the draft, unless a late invite wouldn't this indicate we won't be taking him at 14 or 17. View attachment 311772
I'll be happy if 2 of our picks come from that list.
I assumed invites was for the first round picks but you're probably right the top ten on stage etc for TV.Aren't the invites based on the top 10 selections from the clubs with the first 10 picks?

Wow Hayward at 5, I can't see that happening when one or more of Taranto, Brodie and SPS will be available. But fwiw I agree that GC are probably the club to nominate Battle depending on how the night goes.Interesting that Battle gets an invite.
My guess is that if Carlton take Hayward at 5 then Gold Coast will pick Battle early. They've been after a medium forward for a few years now.
Seems like everything is still very much up in the air.
Sounds like we need...academiesSA right up there with QLD when it comes to developing top end draft talent.
Yeah no way do I see Hayward as a top 5 pick but it has been rumoured that Carlton are considering him. It seems that no pick in the top 5 is set in stone just yet. I can't ever remember a lead up to the draft with so much uncertainty at the top.Wow Hayward at 5, I can't see that happening when one or more of Taranto, Brodie and SPS will be available. I wonder if clubs use this nomination as a ploy?
Sam Landsberger article today pretty much says port are into Witherden Galluci and Battle with our 1st rd picks
Brodie going the pick before would just be cruel.http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/fox...d/news-story/b2de3e50af7ed3dc7ed0456ac21396ae
Pick 14 - Will Hayward
Pick 17 - Jarrod Berry
Would be surprised if Carlton picked Hayward. Brodie would be a good get for any club. For me his issues are low average possessions and less potential to keep improving, compared to a player like Sympkin and Hayward.Brodie going the pick before would just be cruel.
Agree, but I think he will go top 10.Brodie going the pick before would just be cruel.
That's not the worst outcome for us, but we'd want to draft some genuine ball winning, high possession mids with the next two picks. Hayward and Berry are still predominantly low-moderate possession winning flankers at this stage.http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/fox...d/news-story/b2de3e50af7ed3dc7ed0456ac21396ae

We know Parker has a sence of humour.
Andrew Jarman having to support Port would be so funny.
